November / DecemberHeyy all. Looking to book our hotel soon and we're definitely staying in the mirage. When I go to the booking page it says you just pay a deposit. Does this mean you only pay a deposit now, and then pay the rest when you get there, or are you able to pay it all off before you go? We don't really want to have to keep money for that when we're there and would rather get it out of the way.0

MayYou pay one night's deposit and the balance when you check out. Perhaps if you call them they will let you pay the full amount up front.0

I am going to book a week in Vegas in October for my girlfriends 21st.
We are looking to stay in the Luxor, and I will try the $20/ $50 trick to try and get an upgrade.
Does anyone know if we are likely to get an upgrade if we are staying for 7 nights?0 -

Or stick it on a pre-paid Mastercard.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

I understand what you are meaning, I like to clear those costs as early as possible just for piece of mind. I've gotten used to booking direct where you are only charged for the first night and then settle the bill when checking out. It does allow you to take advantage of any comp dollars etc you might have earned whilst there. booking through Expedia for example means whilst your cost is paid up front you can't redeem any benefits you might have built up.
Setting and paying the price now also stops you being subject to the vagiaries of the exchange rate, I've no experience of trying to book direct with an hotel and pay it all up front other than Expedia or similar sites.
Whichever way you choose you will need to hand over a credit card at check-in and there will be hold on it for 'x' amount for incidentals, you might well find that the amount held would probably cover the bill, so a moments weakness at the tables won't leave you unable to pay the bill?0 -
There is a reason it is called "outlet", it is old stock that the chains are trying to dump. ;)If that is what you are after then go for it. If you want proper shopping then go to Fashion Show where you will find Nordstroms, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Guess, Marciano, etc.
Also Forum Shops is good as well. The shops at Palazzo have a Barneys of NY and a Louboutin store.
:rotfl::p
Hi Stoneman I disagree with you here whilst much of the non footwear stick in Timberland may be made just for the outlets it is still very good quality for not much money, the RL shop is great value and the stock maybe last seasons but so much of it is timeless it does not matter. Many of the other shops have stock that is not usually sent to the UK so it does not matter if it is old and it is so cheap. I cant stand shopping at the fashion show mall it feels like I am in a normal UK dept store albeit everything spread out a bit more where as the premium outlets feel like a different experienceIts Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -
$39 - Palazzo: Lagasse's Stadium Dinner for 2, Reg. $76
Don't know whether this is any good for you guys but I thought I would pass it on.

is this the first message on here posted from Benin? Probably. Having great fun here (not) but at least I can get online to book my flights.
Im having such a mare over here and cant wait to get home so Ive decided that as a 'reward' Ive decided to sort out flights to return to Vegas for the 4th time in 2012.
Thought Id do it before the Mayans predicted the end of the world so taking advantage of the Virgin sale and going the last week of march and the first of april.
Being gold on !!!!!!.com has opened up a few more offers and a few more emails from hosts at MGM. So for this time we are gonna take advantage of as many comp'd nights as possible and try to reduce the number of nights we actually pay for.
I havent forgot about the ACG vouchers for those that PM'd. I will sort them out early next week. I only had a couple of days to sort myself out bewteen returning fro mVegas and flying off to Africa, sorry about that.0 -

Vegas at the end of March at the start of April is a good idea, as per my previous post we are doing 8 nights in this period all comp'd.
Can't wait and might even see you around the strip for a beer!0 -
JulyCurrently sat in bed in Vegas after arriving yesterday...gotta love jetlag! Went to bed at 9.30 LV time, woke again at 2.30 so have given in and am eating cookies and drinking minute maid from the air conditioned luxury of the massive bed!!!!!
Flew Virgin direct from Manchester - had to sit on the tarmac for 2 hours in Manc due to running over some debris as we were about to take off. Flight was fairly non-eventful, we'd paid for the exit row seats in advance so had lots of lovely legroom, though I have to say the flight was far from full and there were many people in economy able to spread out and get a whole row of 4 to lie down on.
Our TV's didn't work (along with many others) so the flight was pretty boring, mainly sat and read my Kindle as just couldn't get comfy. In comparison to the BA flight we did last year I have to say that that wins in terms of service and IFE, also the seats seemed bigger?
Had a nice touch from crew on take off - they knew about the wedding so we got champagne and then later on an announcement (althought they called me Lorraine (!!) and got the date wrong!). Have to say crew seemed preety preoccupied and was mainly a young crew who spent most of their time talking about the night out they had planned that evening. Sorry Mr Branson, can't give more than 6/10.
Arrival at LV was smooth, as was picking up the car (Dollar Express worked well for us first-timers with it). Ended up going with a Jeep Patriot which I know may sound lame, but I'm doing the majority of the driving and really needed something that was big enough but also not totally giant and undriveable.
After check-in we grabbed a quick (!) bite at In and Out (it was rammed full) before heading over to Walmart for some supplies....temp seems cooler than last year and vey manageable at the mo (I may eat my words very soon!)
Going to check out Platinum on this trip as although we love Staybridge and are Platinum Priority Club members we've not been given an upgrade as we usually do which saddened me as we are here for the wedding and I wanted the bigger suite (I went and asked to be moved but apparently they're full - seem to be a hell of a lot of construction workers staying???) and maybe being a bit nearer to the Strip will be nice (does depend on the pool though as we do love it here and the free breakfast is a real bonus)
Anyways, will keep you posted with far more interesting morsels throughout.....I know there's a couple of other members currently out here so hope you guys have a great trip!
