We ate at Le Burger Brasserie last year - it was pretty much the best of our meals in Vegas while we were there :) Great steak fries!

We tried it once with a BOGOF (LVA, limited times, but suited us on the day) - for that price it was really good we thought (though I seem to recall thinking the prices were steep as the burgers didn't come with fries)...we would definately go back though...
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

we cruised out of miami on a 2 week back to back carnival cruise in feb of this year,it was fantastic,i'm not sure which company you are cruising with but we have cruised with both carnival and royal carribean and would recommend them both, hope you have a great time:)

Its a Carnival Cruise - B2B on The Liberty, we have sailed it once before and loved it.

Talking to the Mrs at the moment, she is not sure on heading back so soon afterwards - would quite like to do another holiday around Cali but think it will be cheaper to stay in Vegas.

yes i know what you mean,i do think you appreciate it more when you havent been for a while,we stayed in california in 2009,in anaheim which was a reasonably priced area to stay,we had a car too so we could get around, although the quality of accomodation didnt compared to what you could get in vegas for the same price.
I havent been to vegas since 2008 so i really cant wait:D

Thanks - I'm thinking drive to Santa Monica for a night then to laguna beach for a night and lastly do San Diego for two nights.

Will be able to spend four nights at the Rio and Bally's either side, although will hope for better offers after the next trip!

Got back on friday Virgin from Manchester, thought Virgin were very good. On the old jet Lag at the moment, suffer really bad.
Stayed at the Southpoint for 3 days, can't fault, you need a car though. Orleans for a few more days, prefer Southpoint but if you don't have a car the shuttle bus to the strip is good from the orleans. Palazzo for a couple of days, suite was brilliant 3 flat TV's printer/ scanner/ fax, just what I need on holiday but no Tea/ Coffee making in the room and a mssive queue at the coffee shop in the morning. Did not like the Palazzo, too many very ill mannered(jump in lift and out before the Ladies, they are oblivious to anyone but themselves) orientals with nil expression, yeah good gamblers but wind me up. Morels restaurant serve some nice food at reasonable prices, some of the staff are up themselves but a lot are great.
Last stayed at the Green Valley Ranch for a few days, Photome put their deal on here which I took up, I think Orleans might have a filter running on their internet because I was emailed that deal but didn't come through til I was at the Palazzo. The GVR is nice, very nice, but at full price it wouldn't be good value and you really need a car here. The rooms are good but old, lose half the tv picture on the old style tv, furniture like out of an old western, its saving grace is the staff they are all happy and more than helpful. Generally I only use the Buffet for B/fast which was superb in the GVR once again the staff are smiley and on the ball. The B/fast is $5.99 a bargain, bagel and a coffee is about that in a coffee shop. On Tuseday the cinema tickets are £5 allday. The pool area is really nice, hated the palazzo, they even have real grass, never smoked astro turf but I assume reall grass is better.
Got some great bargains at the outlets, that power bracelet is a con don't buy it, best pizza at the premium outlet near downtown, best food at McMullans near the Orleans, if you are craving proper food go to McMullans for sunday dinner including yorks puds at $14.99 pp its great, better than most carvery's in the UK. The sirloin beef mince shepherds pie is the best you will have ever tasted, if you try it and it isn't I'll give you the money myself. Got to say our anniversary meal at Morels was outstanding, never had such a good steak as their 32oz porterhouse, really was special. another visit to Vegas done. I'm a sucker for people down on their luck and it does take the edge off vegas so many people in dire straights. San Fransisco is even worse apparantly. The homeless collectors on the strip seem genuine and are probably a good way to give to the needy in Vegas. All the very best to you all.

    Foreign visitations up
July 8, 2011 Record Foreign Visitation for Vegas: The US Department of Commerce has some welcome good news for Las Vegas, with new research from this and other sources suggesting that international visitors made up almost a fifth (18 per cent) of total visitors in 2010, up almost 18 percent on the previous year. Apparently, non-domestic visitors also spend more, collectively contributing 27 percent of total tourism revenue last year. The UK is the leading source of foreign visitors.
