Guys
I appreciate the great advice received already on my trip to LV in August - but I need a little more info, this time about r.com.
I've bought a few hundred dollars worth and have received the emails etc.
Am I correct in thinking I simply print out the vouchers, book the restaurant and present the voucher OR can you simply walk in and present the voucher at participating restaurants?
BTW - I bought $50 specifically for the burger place everyone raves about and $200 unnamed.
It seems too good to be true almost - I've bought $100 for $12 using a discount code (on top of the reduced rate). Is it really this good - if it is should I get $500 worth as I plan to eat out for the 8 days!
Also, any fav participating restaurants?0 -
for burger fans, this may be interesting...these people are serious about their burgers.

shamelessly stolen from westie2 at Open Vegas...
We ate at Le Burger Brasserie last year - it was pretty much the best of our meals in Vegas while we were thereGreat steak fries!

As long as you are aware of the terms on your voucher, then there isn't a catch.
Eg. Stripburger $50 voucher has terms that state "Minimum purchase of $100. 18% Gratuity added prior to discount."
Not sure if I have misunderstood your post but you can't use the un-named vouchers in restaurants. You have to change it in to "named" certificates.Married in Vegas - 25th October 2011!

JulyThanks to all that posted about the weather in March!
We fly out on August 28th to get married but only have 4.5 days in Vegas before heading over to Miami for a 2 week cruise as our honeymoon.
Really tempted by the Virgin offer as we could do 8-12 nights for £380 with Virgin Miles + Money - already have free hotel offers for Bally's and Rio and could do some tactical gambling at The Orleans/Platnium on this trip to get a free room at one of these places and simply use it as a break off-strip!0 -

As Maria says you have to have certs for named restaurants and check t and c.
Also as she says they all require a minimum spend, plus tip
So a $50 voucher would in most cases mean a minimum spend of about $68 and a $100 voucher would mean a minimum spend of about $140
Yes you can simply walk in and present the voucher0 -

I assume that the $200 unnamed are restaurant.com certificates - which as others have said, you have to use to buy a voucher for a specific restaurant...
You normally do not have to pre-book, though maybe there are ones where you do (none we have ever used).
That seems like a lot of vouchers though - if you assume $200 will buy you 8 $25 vouchers...and since you can only use one per restaurant per month, and one per visit...it seems like an awful lot for a week's trip. I'm sure you can use them - but you won't necessarily want to lock yourself into every meal.
Wait - I just read the suggestion that you might buy $500 worth for 8 days!!
I think you may be misunderstanding them...you should read the terms for each - you cannot just buy $100 in vouchers and get $100 off a meal..there are minimum spends for each...limits on how many you can use, etc...Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
