We are safe so long as noting is announced today, as they have to give a minimum of 7 days notice. I've had my fingers and toes crossed since it was announced - not bothered if it happens whilst we're away, what's the worst that can happen? Oh, we might have to stay in vegas longer (shame!!!)

Did a trial packing run today to make sure I could get everything in, i.e. wedding dress etc - all seems ok so far however do have to get toiletries in which could prove an issue (who needs all that stuff??ME!!!!). Marriage pre-app complete, think just about everything's done except currency - need to top up my Travelex card but wont let me do it online (after three 30 min calls to them off my mobile they told me they had no idea why I couldnt top up online and that I'd have to go to my nearest airport, yeah thanks for that!!!)

Anyways...this time next week we'll be in the air, no doubt running short on drinks :-)

Ferf can you offer any similar useful insight into mid feb? Cheers

Never been that time of year, myself...so others can probably give you more info.

Probably too cold for pool weather, though I know many pools are heated and open year round...some will be closed for the season...

Should miss the Superbowl insanity by mid-Feb.

    There's a reasonably big convention (75,000) mid-Feb.

Valentine's Day is a Tuesday next year...so may not have the impact it can if it's a Friday or over a weekend...and 20th Feb 2012 is a bank holiday so hotel rates may be higher that weekend than normal with people taking advantage of a long weekend...though I honestly can't remember if it's a holiday that everyone has off, or only those who work to state and federal calendars (like banks, courts, some offices).
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Just emailed the Platinum and secured a Princess suite for $89 a night for August, lovely jubbly.
It really does save us trying to find "this or that" deal when all we need is in one place.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

For those that got married in Vegas, do you have to do anything as such when you back home?

We got our license on the 6th june...
We got married on the 7th June, and given the certificate thing by the chapel place whils't there.....

Had a pink slip from the license place which states somthing about buying copies of the license ???
I figured that it was the chapel that sent a record of our marriage to clark county office, so it's recorded in that sense, proving the certificate we got is real (ie: not one we just wrote ourselves!)..

Now were home, am guessing i cant just send a copy of the certificate to the GRO (General Register Office??), but in terms of my wife changing her name to mine, anyone done this process of changing names ?
    cheers
    :)

    Hi

Can you share how you got this rate please as I'm in LV in August and have been looking at this hotel - the rate I can find is $119?
