Stoneman, do you have a contact there? We've stayed a few times, and we're stopping for 4 night in September, although it's on a package (expedia) but we have 4 nights at the Rio (cancellable) before and also after - staying 12 nights total. We might consider extending the platinum deal at the right price. We've booked a princess suite strip view, so we'd have to get that room type if we extend.

For those who wonder about the Platinum - yes the pool is smallish but nice. Loungers nice and padded. Pool has indoor bit you can swim though into, so you can get out the sun for a bit too. No pressure to buy drinks poolside, they never bothered us and we took our own down. Rooms are really nice. Walk to strip is not bad at all, you can use the Bally's sports book entrance at the side if you want to get out the heat. Also handy for the Rio shuttle.

email clairenagel @ lvplatinum.com Tell her what you are doing and mention Andy and Tracy from the U.K.. She will get you a really good rate and upgrade you to a Princess I am sure. What is the cost per night with the package?
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

In the eail from LVA yesterday they mention an Oyster deal.

I have never tried them and dont fancy them but this looks a good price to me (I maybe wrong)

Oysters & Beer: The best play in town for raw oysters runs from 2:45 to 6 p.m. every day except Saturdays at P.J. Clarke's in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. During the "Oyster Riot" happy hour, oysters on the half shell are just $1 each and all drinks are 2-for-1. A 16-ounce draft is $7, so you can get a dozen oysters and a couple of beers for 19 clams.

RE the platinum - you'll find they will be helpful with a discount if you book directly through them and cancel your expedia booking. She said they pay high service fees to the 3rd party booking sites. We're saving around £130 (and getting an upgrade) on our booking over New Year (plus you get wifi included if you go directly too).

I think I have actually hit Vegas saturation..we leave on Thursday and I can take no more, I want to be there NOW!!!! Made the mistake of looking at that Burger Review website last night...oh my, did my mouth water!!!! I literally want Monday/Tuesday to be over so we can GTFO and get on that plane!!!

Trying to find somewhere for our wedding night entertainment still - have made a reservation at RockBar at the IP as it's 241 drinks all night, this is after having our reception at the Wynn...any recommendations (nowhere too pretentious or $$$$) would love some cheesy choons but think this is a bit too much to ask :-) - there will be 12 of us in all

I'm also dying to go...but over 2 months still...so much sighing.

As for where to go for wedding night entertainment, we don't spend much time doing the sort of stuff that would suit so I don't have any personal recommendations - but have always though that the dueling pianos at Napolean's (in the area between Bally's and Paris) seems like good fun...but I would expect drinks would not be cheap so may not be particularly suitable. I swear that next trip we're actually going to stop here rather than walking by every night saying 'we should really go in there one night'. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thanks to all that posted about the weather in March!

We fly out on August 28th to get married but only have 4.5 days in Vegas before heading over to Miami for a 2 week cruise as our honeymoon.

Really tempted by the Virgin offer as we could do 8-12 nights for £380 with Virgin Miles + Money - already have free hotel offers for Bally's and Rio and could do some tactical gambling at The Orleans/Platnium on this trip to get a free room at one of these places and simply use it as a break off-strip!
