We tried it once with a BOGOF (LVA, limited times, but suited us on the day) - for that price it was really good we thought (though I seem to recall thinking the prices were steep as the burgers didn't come with fries)...we would definately go back though...

I don't remember the prices, but tbh that meal was one of the ones paid for by Virgin during the extra "volcano" week we got there last year
OH is amused - he caught me reading that blog link last night and planning which ones we'll be visiting during our next trip :D

I have just recieved a very good promotion from the Stratosphere Hotel.
3 free nights in a suite and $300 in free play.

Alas we are not in a position to go this year . We were wondering if anyone is going to be staying in , or intends to visit the Stratosphere before sept 15th this year as I want to keep my players card activated to see if I can get the offer for next year.

If someone is going and could help me by taking and using my card , I will obviously compensate you with $30 for you to use on a machine of your choice .

If anyone can help me, send me a pm and we will sort something out , thanks.

I am still due you a trip report from last year which I fully intend to submit ( and should have submitted months ago ),but due to some personal problems the last thing I wanted to think about is Vegas , but all is well now and we are allready looking forward to our 6th trip in september 2012.

be aware that having someone use your card to play a small amount may actually damage your rating...since they look at your average daily theoretical loss (in general)...if you normally play $XX/day and you have someone pop in and put a small amount of play on your card it can reduce your ADT and therefore your offers. Personally, I think that unless someone has a lot of points that will expire (like TR rewards points that have an actual cash value) it may not be worth it, may do more harm than good...as it will make it looks like you gamble less than you actually do when the quick 'visit' is factored in.

We would do it for you if you still wanted, but we don't arrive until 20th Sept. :)

Thanks ferf , never thought of that , the website for the players card says it will be reviewed on 15th sept , but I do not know if they actualy delete or deduct points after this date , I have quite a few points hence the good offer I got from them and didnt want to lose it for next year.
I think I will take the gamble that they wont deduct the points ,I think I will send them a nice e-mail thanking them for the offer and some bs as to why I cant make it this year , never know might work.

Thanks for the heads up , enjoy your trip in sept.

Last year we returned our Dollar rental car to the desk in the MGM hotel - I've just looked at where we can return our car to later in the year but most of the hotels don't seem to be available now - does anyone know if Dollar have pulled out of the MGM hotels?

Dollar has pulled out of MGM hotels (thinking about it, I think it was MGM's decision actually)...think it was pebbles that heard the news originally...I think they have been replaced by Avis...think someone said that TI is still Dollar.

For the dates of my planned trip in March I'm currently going to be booking Rio and either Ballys or Harrahs - Had planned on Bally's, any thoughts either way?

Hoping after my next trip I'll have some better offers but as the above is all comp's figure I'll book them as fall back options

Mlife is affiliated with Avis so all the MGM-Mirage hotels will be Avis by now. June 27th was mentioned. TI is owned by Phil Ruffin and is independent so that is why Dollar are staying there. I got my info from the most senior Dollar rep on the strip. She has a soft spot for Tony, so tells us everything she knows. 24 people will have lost their jobs by now.
