I do fancy Vdara, and I have emailed them and they have offered me a very nice upgrade...they are good value on Expedia and the like....I like the ultra modern rooms, and the larger rooms especially, although I am attracted to the Venetian because of the overall surroundings..hmm...Vdara doesnt have the resort fee either does it. It was a bit of an extravagence this holiday, and I want to save where I can, but equally I think it will be the only time we go, so I dont want to choose something to save a couple of hundred bucks and then wish we had splashed out that bit more.

(Believe it or not, I work in hotel sales/revenue management - you think I would make a decision quicker!!)

It would be even better if all prices were like for like. ie , the Vdara resort fee is actually $18 but after tax its just over $20. Others listed are the resort fees without tax added yet

for Vdara /Aria deals make sure to sign up to their Facebook page. We got the Vdara (July) for $129 a night over a weekend with free Elvis tickets and $50 a day resort credit.

Resort fees .... don't you just love them. Our next trip, hotel cost is 1040 without resort fees, 1192 with.....grrrr.....

Late edit ...... Vdara now appears to have gone to $20 + tax making it $22.40. Second rise in short period of time for Vdara.

Also, some of the resort fee "freebies" are missing. I nearly had kittens when the Vdara was listed as not having access to the gym. also, TI offer $20 off your next stay with their Resort fee.

Really enjoyed our stay at NY NY, we had the room with a hot tub which was amazing! I'm not a very fussy person so didn't expect to have any complaints anyway.

when we last stayed at Vdara, they forgot to charge us the resort fee! it wasn't on the final bill and I've never it taken from my CC since :D

their customer service is great, I've kept in (loose) touch with one of the managers and he is going to look after us when we go back... at least sort out a particular suite for us. i think it pays to be friendly!

Six days until we fly out!!

Thanks for peoples opinions on Peepshow (a few weeks back) we wont be going now. But will be going to see Paul Mccartney at the MGM Grand and Nathon Burton (free tix) which we did go to a couple of years ago and did enjoy, might do Penn & Teller depending on how our luck goes on the craps tables.

We have a car booked through hertz (10% discount with aa membership, always used Hertz on previous trips to the US) and will go out to the valley of fire, spending time up at the Pinball hall of fame and visiting various In n Out locations in the city (maybe all 9).

Will do some outlet shopping, go to the gamblers store, Dennys magic shop and any random shops people reccomend?

We have a few rest.com vouchers, El segudo sol, Hash house @ IP and the steak house @ El Cortez. We will know doubt end up having brekfast a few times at Mon ami gabi.

I'm rambling a bit here, anyway me and my gf do gamble and go to clubs and this time my gf wants to try some cocktail bars so if anyone has some recomendations that would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

once...we've only been once...and for us it was enough...but I feel it really has to be done.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

The Platinum doesn't have resort fees and they aren't on the list. Free wifi and use of the gym.
    Just saying
    :D
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
