Chicago experts... Does this sort of time to clear immigration seem the norm?

Thanks for the TR Triker... Really enjoyed reading it!!

Also thanks Porthog. Can't wait to read next part!

I think because we were delayed flights landed before us. They put us on next flight which would have been fine but that got delayed 2 hours. Just unlucky I guess.

So we Spent a few hours in the Orleans casino.....didn't lose or win much but enjoyed a few drinks. So far the slots are a mystery to me. You seem to either win or lose, no skill involved. Maybe we need to try some more :) went out by the pool for a few drinks. Very enjoyable.!

After a quick shower we decided to catch the free bus to the strip. Waited 5 mins but it was full. Didn't fancy waiting another half hour so grabbed a cab to the fashion show mall and went to stripburger which was amazing!!!!! Green chilli burger and chilli cheese fries.....wow. Will be back later in the week I think. Not cheap though but was worth it.

Headed down the strip with a brief stop in TI and quick go on the slots...still clueless. Loving the hotels....but will have a proper look today as OH !was very tired. On way back noticed sex and the city in flamingo, $1 in $30 out. Decided not to play on and headed back with the small winnings paying for our taxi.

Just enjoying a bagel and catching up with emails then off to do some shopping.!

    Paris fans....
I have a red room booked for a couple of weeks time.
    1. If I try the $20 trick, do I just ask for a "complimentary upgrade", or is there a particular room / view that you would recommend I go for?
    2. I'm staying for 7 nights, does that mean I should increase the $20 to get a better chance?
Stayed in the Paris last week, asked if they had any complimentary upgrades available with $40 in passport, the receptionist said what would i like and i said a "P" room would be nice and he said no problem what floor would you like so went for 30th, we was there for 7nights and really nice room, quiet and fantastic beds big TV and everything you could want thatnks to Stoneman for his advice. Have a great time.

What's the Duty free selection @ Mccarren airport like.
Does it sell the latest beauty products like Lancome/estee Lauder and perfumes?

If yes, are the cheaper at the airport or is it better to buy them from a local store?
Very small terminal and not much there. Duty free not alot of choice, bought clinque mascara and the new lower lash mascara and they was a little cheaper than shops with no tax, the best buy was Southern Comfort. 200 cigs, clinique and 1ltr southern comfort $77 total so not bad.

This question will make a lot of people laugh. There is very little in the way of duty free at the airport. Do your shopping in Vegas. Sephora, loads of the major department stores in Fashion Show, and if you have transport my wifes all time favorite for everything girly and cheap, Ulta.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Having a devil of a time getting my hands on a 16Gb iPad2, phoning all 3 Apple locations every day, also Bestbuy and Frys, no luck at all. Good saving if I can get one, about £330 with rate conversion compared to £399 in the U.K.
Saw Kylie on Sunday, her full 2 and a half hour show which surprised me as Caesars usually wants to get everyone back into the casino, she is very good and glad we got the opportunity to see her even if it seemed that me and OH appeared to be the only straight people in the venue.
Had our second dinner of the trip at MAG last night, this one only came to $50 for the 2 as the waitress forgot to put my 2 glasses of wine on the bill.
Craps has been a struggle this trip, not losing but taking ages just to make a small profit. Sat at Gustoves bar in Paris after dinner and hit a Royal on Double bonus poker for $1,000, the OH hit $400 on Wolf Run at PlanetHo
