Just how bad is Circus Circus? BA has an offer of £97 for 5 nights!!( Dec30th to Jan4th). I'm not booking it by the way- have already booked. But surely this can't be right??

Sounds about right-I once paid $15 for the IP

Normally I would say that that's about right - but over New Year it seems odd...like misprice odd...even if it's a manor motor lodge room - over NYE, I think that's very low for 5 nights.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

If its for a tower room its a good deal,(they ofen are about $35 a night) their tower rooms have been refurbed and are very good, They came top on Vegaschatters list of budget hotel rooms in Vegas

    IMO it isnt that bad

As Duchy says the IP is usually cheaper than that

When we go it won't be warm enough to use the pool so that isn't really being taken into consideration. We just want a nice room in a good location, we just want to see as much as possible in 3 days and do everything vegas has to offer. I'm currently swayed towards Flamingo because of how everyone on here talks about it, and I love that it has no resort fee, but my boyfriend really wants to stay in the Mirage because someone in work said that it was really nice. The third place I had considered was MGM Grand because I thought it looked quite nice. I want to know what everyone's opinion was on their favourite hotel and why to see which one more people stayed in to help me decide.

I was wondering as well when I should book? I check the hotel websites on the first page a lot to see the offers on and would quite like to get a room that has vouchers or credit with it, but since I'm not going until November there isn't much to choose from. Should I wait a few more months until the November offers start popping up for these hotels?

How much do you want to pay Flamingo and MGM will be cheaper than Mirage by about 50%

Book when you see an offer you like

Of the three MGM would come last on my list at that time of year on location alone as the other two are more central

Chicago experts... Does this sort of time to clear immigration seem the norm?

    Vegas Hotel.........
I'd say consider the Tropicana :):) Although i dont check in until next week, its all good so far!
However, if the Trop is somthing you fancy (opposite MGM's by the way, on the four corners), drop me a PM and i'll give you the email address for a particular person in the hotel who will give you a very good rate and waive a few fee's, etc when mentioning my name :)

And yeah, Chicago experts for the American Airlines route from Heathrow to Vegas, i need some info too please! I got my mum on that flight next week, says there is 1hr 55mins between flights, so hoping thats enough time for her ?!

    April
    Hi all,

Can anybody help with advice or suggestions:

We are getting married in Vegas next April and will be booking flights and hotel for approx 10 people, mostly family. we have visited Vegas before a few times so we have our faves etc. I usually search for flights through ita or kayak and book through expedia, ebookers. Am I better to book all couples individually or do a group booking. Should we mention the wedding as the reason for the group booking or does this just give them a reason to jack up the price? Who would you suggest to use for a group booking if this is the best way?

We like to stay in the central strip area, mid priced (Ballys/Flamingo) or would consider Monte Carlo and we will be flying from Manchester. We normally go with US Airways as they always seem to be the cheapest and we have found them to be comfortable enough.

I have been keeping tabs on the prices for next April through a few different websites and havent noticed any real cheap ones as yet, Ballys cheapest ive seen is around £50-£80 per night and im sure ive paid less than that in the past. Flights are around 650 to 750 and again this seems high. Any Advice would be welcomed.

    Cheers

    Greg

Noooooooo MGM is remote enough -Trop with the messing about crossing is worse-certainly not ideal for November when it can be chilly. There's nothing special about the Trop that would make the poorer location worth it.I'd rate Trop below all three -yes it has had a facelift but it's not like they knocked it down and rebuilt it-just tarted it up a bit. Incidently I find the criscrossing to get from that area back to centre strip annoying

Chicago is usually pretty fast -I've never waited there as long as Triker did -just bad luck if you come in behind several other international flights which can happen at any airport-I've got through in 15 minutes there before but more usually half an hour. Worst scenario AA will just book her on the next flight-Chicago is one of their hubs so they have lots of flights.
