MarchEI BBQ is not a buffet...there is a menu, but it is a very limited menu.
Crikey, that's a big picture.

I always, always stay at Mirage when I go to Vegas... this time I'm taking in NYC for a week first which has eaten into my accommodation budget some what. I booked a GO room at the Flamingo for my next visit in Sept and got an amazing deal but I keep reading horror stories about the Flamingo (not the GO room but the whole hotel) on Trip Advisor etc..and now I'm wondering whether just to pay the extra few hundred bucks for the Mirage.
Should I stick to my guns and give the GO room a shot or should I just bit the bullet and book the Mirage?0 -

Guess its up to you, but I NEVER look on tripadvisor about hotels in Vegas (I do for other places) because I have been a good few times (stayed at Flamingo 3 times) and there are many regular posters on here who between us have stayed just about everywhere.
The GO rooms are an aquired taste. lovely pink bathrooms. but as you know the location is perfect
I have to admit I havent stayed at Mirage or NYNY. I have a reservation for the Mirage in Aug (cost twice the price of a GO room but fancy trying it) Have never stayed at NYNY and prob never will, I dont think the rooms have bathtubs altho I may be wrong, but the pool is rubbish and I dont like the casino0 -

If you are happy with the price then it is a good price. You may have got it cheaper just booking the flight, but I dont know how much flights are for when you are going0 -

The tacky pink bathrooms were what attracted me to it in the first place....
You'll love the Mirage, it's great. I think I'll stick with the GO, there will always be future trips back to the Mirage.
I know what you mean about Trip Advisor, I love reading American reviews saying "Worst hotel ever!" because they had to wait more than a minute for a lift, or there was a stain on the hallway carpet.

I agree that TA isn't always the best source as people tend to complain more often than they will praise - but I just had a look at the recent reviews and can see why BlueWorldOrder might be concerned...there are quite a lot of recent negative reviews - some can be discounted for various reasons, but there are a lot that seem to indicate conditions have gone downhill lately...so many that I would be wary too, but I've never stayed there (it has never appealed to us) or Mirage - so I wouldn't be able to reassure anyone one way or the other...there are plenty of good reviews too so it's not like everyone has something bad to say - just seems a lot of negative reviews recently.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
