The question is to ambiguous
It depends on so many things
Location, pool, standard and of course price
As an example my fav hotel is prob Orleans but it is off strip, and fav on strip is prob Flamingo, but they to some extent are governed by price.
My fav hotel room I have had is at THE Hotel.
I could go on but I think if you need to know where to stay we need to know your priorities0 -

AugustTriker great trip report though i am blaming you for a lack of sleep getting rather excited!!! you mention dollar express is this something I can sort out now for my hire car on Sunday! Not long now!!!!
Have you got a car booked with Dollar, If so you can join their express program and jump the queue and go straight downstairs the pick up desk.
It is prob to late for sunday though (unless you booked direct with Dollar) as you would need to get your membership number added to your reservation
I joined last year and was looking forward to not joining the queue upstairs (have waited ages in past) only to find NO queue upstairs but I was 4th in queue at the pick up desk, I would have been better off witout it.0 -

This also explains it, http://www.dollar.com/Express/LearnMore.aspx
I meant to join a year or so ago but [STRIKE]procrastinated [/STRIKE] didn't. We queued for ages, at least an hour in the very hot car rental place...after the flight we just wanted to get going.

MarchWow, come into the office this morning and missed a whole string of posts over the weekend, my home pc seems to have fallen out with MSE? Nice report Searchlight is one of our stopoff points when running down to Laughlin, we usually eat in the Searchlight Nugget, food is fine. We usuall drive down the I15 and turn off and go through Niton, the opportunity to get some photos of the Joshua trees without having to go right into the national park. Laughlin has improved over the years, usually stay in Harrahs, it does what it says on the tin. We like the beach and the river taxis are cool. Plenty of eateries and laundries etc across in Bullhead city.
You can jet boat to Lake Havasu and the old London bridge.
Shame about Ping Pongs at the GC, eaten there previously and had a great meal, used the noodle express in GC lunch special $6.99 good value. The asian eatery in the Orleans is good, has a sushi counter as well (like my fish in batter). Baskin Robbins milkshakes were nice, didn't manage a Fudruckkers.
Like yourself I don't think I could do Vegas without a car, the convenience far outweighs the cost, will seriously have to hook up for the Dollar express, my last couple of trips have all come out with Dollar as the supplier.
Glad you could still manage to pack in a busy itinery when not feeling well.0 -
JuneCrikey, i just followed that link to 'SteaknShake' , clicked on the tripple burger, just the picture alone made my stomach growl that people sat in my office heard it!!!
Sucks at the mo as i am dieting hardcore, ready for when i get to Vegas next week so i can munch my way through everything!!
Cant wait to goto Ellis Island, its all good stuff i keep reading about it (Thanks triker! and the rest of u!).... I'm going more for the Karaoke and a long night there, as well as eating there!
Whats the deal with the BBQ ? is it a case of turn up, queue as such, then pay $10 and eat what u want? or is it just a normal restuarant, but you have a BBQ menu as opposed to a normal menu ?0
