Just as a heads up, some of you might know that the Flamingo has changed the layout of their pools. What used to be the European "Go" pool is now the family pool, and the bigger Lagoon pool is now for over 18's (but not topless). Anyway, men can now purchase entrance to the pool for $15 if you are staying at a Harrahs property and $20 if you are anywhere else, and ladies are free(of course it is free if you are staying at Flamingo) Well we have been there the last 2 days and no one asked where I was staying and just let us in. You are not allowed to bring in any food or water, just coffee. You will also have to produce ID no matter how old you are.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

:o another question hope no one minds :o

    just read this about tipping

Hotel housekeeping -- $5 per day for maid. Ideally left on a daily basis (you may not have the same maid every day), on the pillow or nightstand with a note stating it’s a tip.

    agree or disagree?
    :)

I leave a daily tip but usually $2, unless I ask for extra toiletries and then will leave $5

The weather was definitely all over the place last week.
After my snow storm delaying me in Denver (would have been quicker to drive from Vegas to Idaho) we had great weather both in Idaho and Utah (I cancelled my flight back-couldn't face DEN again so soon and drove) and the scenary was gorgeous. Was cloudy back in Vegas but still managed to burn a little just walking around. Not overstruck with CityCentre but the Trop looks nicer than before (although lines to get a player card were awful-so didn't bother).
Was so peed off with the poor attitude at CP I switched to Orleans and had a great stay-and I'm convinced it took less time from my room there via the shuttle to the Flamingo than it took to trek from my Forum Tower room ;)

Donny and Marie have re-done their show with lots of new stuff-I did miss the Stevie Wonder segment though-but the changes were overdue. Well worth seeing.

Was really nice meeting both Pebbles and Luci :j

Based on our experience staying at Caesars, with the exception of the Augustus Tower, I wouldn't be surprised. :)

Interesting about the updates to the D&M show...though if I did decide to go it may be solo...not sure I could get my hubby back in that showroom for anything. ;)

I'm really, really craving a Vegas trip at the moment...we have less than 4 months to go now...with a short break next month in the UK to break up the time a bit...but still...it seems sooooo far away. I'm being greedy, I know, since we went in March...but I just miss it.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I was spoiled last time with the Augustus Tower-and I was very surprised my Forum Tower room only had a shower.

I think we have had this conversation before about baths in rooms. I dont like rooms with just a shower, even though I only use a shower at home.

Most rooms at Flamingo only have a shower

    Really?

I've usually had Go rooms-which have both-but the twice I've gone for deluxe-both times the room had a bath.

Last time I stayed there, I wanted a GO room with bath tub and shower, had to try 3 different rooms before I got one, they said there are more without tubs (they may not have been honest but thats what they said)

The 2 rooms without the tub both overlooked the strip and were covered by the advert (didnt like that either)

We leave $2 a day too. But on our last day we leave all our change we've built up (usually about $5 easy) and an extra $10 just to say thankyou.
