Marchthat's very cool Angelite...it would be great to have a CF we could visit whenver we wanted...unfortunately it would likely be heaving with American tourists all the time...but still - it would be nice to have the option.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

your right though , people would flock there if the quality of the food remains the same.
has to be better than the salad cart at your local harvesterThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Octoberceh209, sorry to hear you were ill but I think loads of people come down with something while in Vegas. We usually lose a day or 2 of our stay with some bug, OH even came down with a kidney infection required hospital stay. A combination of change of climate and food, being in a tin can with other people breathing recycled air, and just the run down feeling of the 10 hour trip is enough to make you unwell. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. This might be an interest to some people on here - I emailed the Cheesecake Factory about our latest visit, and added that they would be very welcome in the UK (sad, I know!) and got a reply saying they are "currently screening partners" for UK expansion.
This has brightened up my weekend, and also because the email was apparently from the president of the Cheesecake Factory. I am such a dork :j
Wow, that would be amazing!
Lets just hope that if they do expand over here, that the quality and the portion sizes come with them (although, i feel that could be unlikely)

they currently have an agreement in place for 22 restaurants in Middle East by 2016 with the opportunity to expand the agreement to include other markets in the Middle East and North Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey

Can confirm that Westin casino is still non-smoking
Did you try lighting one up in the casino?
Smoking Policy
"Smoking is strictly prohibited in all other areas of the hotel including all guest rooms, the lobby, front desk area, all meeting spaces, and food and beverage outlets (excluding the Casuarina Casino and Casino Lounge). A cleaning fee will be charged to guests who smoke in guest rooms or other non-smoking areas."
If only road signs worked as well as the non smoking ones on the front door.

May
another question hope no one minds
just read this about tipping
Hotel housekeeping -- $5 per day for maid. Ideally left on a daily basis (you may not have the same maid every day), on the pillow or nightstand with a note stating it’s a tip.
agree or disagree?0 -
Marchagree, personally...but many don't...I always look at it as they're doing a job I would not want to do...tipping will normally result in you getting some extra goodies in the room - our maids always notice we take all the soaps (we bring them home to use as hand soaps in the bathroom) and generally leaves us double what we would normally get...
But ultimately, we're on holiday...in Vegas...where we could and do regularly lose $5 in minutes...so we like to leave a tip for someone who has, for whatever reason, taken a pretty awful job...and chances are pretty good that that $5 means a lot more to them than to us.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I don't know what they are getting at?The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
