    Westin do allow smoking in the casino, but generally not elsewhere. If you want to avoid smoking completely stay in the Vdara, but of course they don't have a casino.

    I was wondering when they would give up on the
    No smoking thing. When it first opened there were big signs outside the casino saying no smoking but inside there were people smoking and even ash trays scattered around. Thanks for the update. BTW I only smoke while drinking so we are more than happy with the Platinum. We got in the lift yesterday and it was obvious that someone had lit up in there. How desperate must you be to have to spark up in a lift to only have a couple of drags then stub it out when it only takes 40 seconds to walk outside.-
    The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    When did that change? There was no smoking in the casino in March.

    Just back from a fantastic week in Vegas, stayed at the Paris and have never had a more comfortable bed, slept 7-8hours a night and no waking up at daft oclock. The Virgin flight from Manchester was delayed 5 hours because the aircraft needed a new part, this was a pain but was kept informed and given £10 voucher for food. The flight was fine ife ok and food adequate, the crew was happy for people to get drinks from the galley whenever they wanted and all very pleasant. Just a few empty seats in economy so no free upgrades. The return flight was on time so no problems and again a few empty seats, terminal 2 at vegas not much there. The weather was the coldest on record since 1946 so had to buy a few jumpers. Went to see human nature really great show also Divas which we really enjoyed, bought the tickets from the Imperial Palace buy one get one free with voucher. Had a great night on Fremont Street and went to see Rat Pack another good show. My only regret is that we had not booked for two weeks there was so much more we wanted to do so now starting to look for October. Used rest.com vouchers at Stripburger, Hashagogo and Ocean Grill and Bar, happy with the food at all. Thanks to everyone on this board for all the invaluable information you provide it is very much appreciated.

    They are normally roughly the same price in dollars as you will pay in £s here.

    So here goes my trip report, not quite as exciting as planned as you will see

    Wow - I'm so sorry that you were so unwell...that's just so sad to hear - not just because it was Vegas...maybe one day you'll be able to go back and experience it fully...hope that you are all recovered now and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with everyone.

    This might be an interest to some people on here - I emailed the Cheesecake Factory about our latest visit, and added that they would be very welcome in the UK (sad, I know!) and got a reply saying they are "currently screening partners" for UK expansion.

    This has brightened up my weekend, and also because the email was apparently from the president of the Cheesecake Factory. I am such a dork :j

    I can make myself ill by being nervous, but it's never been that bad before, and i don't know if it was carrying on from that or not :(. I don't think it was jet lag.

    I got the cardy ones for $140+tax so £91, i think they're £140 here. The ugg store's in the forum shoppes at caesar's, i think it's 2nd level right near the strip.

    Thank you, i'm feeling fine now. I feel I'm done with LA and would just be doing the same things if I went back, but there's so much more I could have done in Vegas, not least because I missed a few days! Maybe in a few years time? :cool: (I just have to tear myself away from this thread first...)
    Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    your right though , people would flock there if the quality of the food remains the same.

    has to be better than the salad cart at your local harvester
    Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
