Stayed at the Mirage 3years ago and had a lovely room looking over the strip and volcanos. Really good location as we spend alot of time in Fashion Show Mall, you wont be disapointed. Have a great trip.

    Thanks Patty,
The $20 trick has worked there for me 4 times out of 4 so fingers crossed for 5 in a row! :D
You're right, it's in a great location and the food outlets inside are great. Comfiest beds I have ever slept in too

Ive ditched the flamingo and booked the cosmo terrace. With cashback its about £305 for 4 nights. It does look a very nice resort and worth the extra cost

Is that the premium view terrace studio? If so where did you find it at that price, even on the stay 4 nights get one free package i cant get it for less than £100 a night (in Aug)

sorry i forgot to post that bit in my excitement:o

A Virgin flight for your dates is £600 so you have paid £300 for 3 nights at the TI , as its over a weekend I doubt you could have done much better

    ** EDIT **
premium view for my dates would be £465

not the premium view terrace. i booked it on hotels.com with 12% back via quidco.

i think it basically the same price as the current promotion available from the cosmo website for 4 nights for the price of 3

Thought I'd do this on the fly........

Even having someone famous on flight didn't distract me for long enough. Arrived in LA 4.5 hours late, very tired and annoyed.

OK, it has to be asked - who? :)

And sorry for the blip on the way out - looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Vegas in the next installment.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    I'd like to know too.

I'll be at Orleans next week for a slot tournament. We're currently at the Gold Coast. If I see a Mustang convertible, I'll wave.

There are better places for $30 per night.

Don't like the place or the area particularly, but that's just us.

When we go it won't be warm enough to use the pool so that isn't really being taken into consideration. We just want a nice room in a good location, we just want to see as much as possible in 3 days and do everything vegas has to offer. I'm currently swayed towards Flamingo because of how everyone on here talks about it, and I love that it has no resort fee, but my boyfriend really wants to stay in the Mirage because someone in work said that it was really nice. The third place I had considered was MGM Grand because I thought it looked quite nice. I want to know what everyone's opinion was on their favourite hotel and why to see which one more people stayed in to help me decide.

I was wondering as well when I should book? I check the hotel websites on the first page a lot to see the offers on and would quite like to get a room that has vouchers or credit with it, but since I'm not going until November there isn't much to choose from. Should I wait a few more months until the November offers start popping up for these hotels?
