Helicopter tour without the fizzy wine and landing for $199 here:-

Which shows are you thinking of seeing as that can make a difference to the advice offered?

OK my Las Vegas trip is almost here, we fly on thursday and I'm supposed to be packing today but have just gone into panic mode
    I have no shows/trips booked.
I have a couple of friends who have been and I get them that say book and those that say theres no point as you get just as good a deal on the strip.
Not too worried about the shows but its the Grand Canyon trip I'm more concerned about re the cost.
How much is it on the strip to book?
I know I can get it for around $320 for West Rim with landing and champagne but can I get it for around the same price when I'm there?
Can't wait....first time for us and we're stopping in the Cosmopolitan :D

Don't Panic . there will plenty of chances to spend your cash and shows and trips while there.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Have looked at this before but have decided we either want the landing with champagne or the Ranch Adventure :)

If it makes you feel any better I'm not packed either.......and I fly in the morning :)

Just done on-line check in -Still have the row to myself on the transatlantic (loads of empty seats so looking good it'll stay that way) and my domestic flight has just got upgraded to first Yay.

    Best start packing I suppose

Buy a bottle of real Champagne at Duty Free and not that Californian muck you'll get -and have the best of both worlds ?

I have frequent flyer status with United and Continental but am a lowly Silver so upgrade isn't a given- but you can make a pretty good estimate from the seat map and how many seats are left open .....and if it shows very full sign up for the expertflyer free trial to get more exact info

Also hoping we get sat together as we havent pre booked our seats. Well excited now.....just trying to find out if theres a iron in the rooms in the Cosmo so I can put the ironing board away and just chill out for the afternoon :D

All Vegas hotels have irons, ironing boards and hairdryers in the rooms.

The iron/board in the Cosmopolitan is in the closet. There are also robes and slippers. There is complimentary shoe cleaning and a bag is provided to leave your shoes to be cleaned.

There are also high end Bigelow Apothercaries toiletries which are a decent size, 60ml, including the usual shower gel, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, but also mouthwash, lip balm, a dental kit, shower cap and shoe shine.

katelina, one thing that may be useful is for you to have an idea of what shows you want to see - there are some shows (like "Chris Angel Believe") that just aren't rated at all, and whilst it may be cheap whilst there (at Tix4Tonite or whatever), it might be cheap for a reason ;)

Also, try to make sure Virgin is working before wednesday, just in case it's something they need to fix :) no idea how busy the flight is but you want to maximise your seat selection by checking in on line ASAP 24 hours beforehand... don't forget SeatGuru.com :)
