November / December$5.95 rings a bell?
My husband is consulting bus maps to determine if getting there and back at lunchtime is feasible.
Have you been? If so, does it live up to the one at PH? I'm worried it won't.
And if there was a Star Wars machine I think it would put him over the edge...in any event, I would always know where to find him.
I got lunch from there on Tuesday - it was incredibly busy. Had a Hawaiian BBQ sandwich which seemed the same as the one I had at PH (although I have to say I'm not a huge fan of EOS to start with but as it had just opened and was round the corner I thought I'd go).
I did search for a Star Wars machine in Singapore last week with no luck. Did find Sex and the City and my fave Rose of Cairo though which I was very excited about!!0 -
November / DecemberYes thats the one but AFAIK they only offer the service to Virgin and some american airlines. Do you know any different?
website says
Available on US Domestic Flights on Southwest Airlines, US Airways, United Airlines, and Delta Air Lines, and on flights to London, UK on Virgin Atlantic Airways0 -
AugustHello
I've been browsing this fabulous thread and its predecessors for a few years, and finally I have a trip booked (ish) and would like some thoughts / advice if possible
We have a three week trip planned, flights booked into SFO and out of LAX. Plan so far is four nights SF, two in Yosemite, one in Bishop (to break up the drive), then through Death Valley into Vegas. The last four nights are already booked for Disneyland, so I have a gap of ten nightsand I really, really want to spend five nights in Vegas (can be more, but probably no more than seven, but will take guidance on that!)
We are DH and me, 2 girls aged 15 & 12. Love Florida and NYC, pretty sure Vegas will be right up our street. Will be there late July (yes, I know it will be hot..... school holidays and annual leave constraints dictated!) DH has visited before, but it was when he was ten, so not really useful!
The dilemma - which hotel? Definitely want the Strip. I can get MGM for $305 for five nights which seems OK. Or I can spend twice that and get a suite. Like the idea of the extra space, but not sure we will be in the room much. I did check the first posts and couldn't see a discussion about which hotels were good for teens, and I do follow most of the debates on here re hotels, but I've not seen many with regard to older children, so would love thoughts on that
We want five nights so we can explore the Strip fully, visit GC, Hoover Dam. Plus DH & DD1 wants to do some strange tour involving Area 51, so I think it needs to be five nights (??)
Many thanks for any input :T0 -

MGM is a good choice if you have older children, pool is great, I have stayed in both a grand tower room and a bungalow queen suite there (both with 2 queen beds) if you can get the BQS for a little more than the standard room it is definitely worth it especially with four of you. There are often offers for the suites, I saw one recentley but cant find it at mo.
Mandalay Bay is another place with a great pool and good rooms but not so many good offers there this year.
Off strip you cant go wrong at the Orleans, good pool, good rooms, bowling alley, cinema and great rates, could be worth a couple of nights there to bring total cost down especially if you are going to GC and Hoover Dam etc you wouldnt need to be on strip for that.
I wouldnt recomend Circus Circus, the tower rooms are great but the pool is rubbish and your kids are prob a bit old to stay there.
AS for the length of stay in Vegas, you have asked on the wrong board wether it should be 5 or 7 as you have 10 days free.... make it 10!! Seriously though I would stay 7 in Vegas and then have the other 3 at or around the GC or Sedona area, you could take in Flagstaff for the Meteor crater0 -

do a night in Death Valley . easy to fill a day there IMO . only 3 hours to Vegas so you can leave late afternoon and arrive in Vegas early evening .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
MayI'd definitely consider the Orleans even though it is just off Strip as it's great for teens . I wouldn't be happy for teens to wander in any of the Strip hotels but was quite happy with it at the Orleans down to the food court, cinema, arcade etc . Parking is easy there if you have a car-and if you don't the free reliable shuttle runs every 20 minutes. Another plus is the rooms are HUGE compared with Strip rooms . Ive shared 3 girls to a room there and we had loads of space even when all trying to get ready at the same time .I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
