    12 days til I fly !
MSE meet up organized now too :)

I'm a little perturbed to find the Coast hotels regard the terribly young "fabulous" 50 as "Seniors" but hey it means 7x points at Gold Coast, half price buffet and a free slots tournament on Mondays and 10x points and half price buffet at Orleans on Tuesdays so I'll live with it ;)

thats cool who's meeting up ?
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

    RE BAG DROP WITH VIRGIN

If staying at MGM (or I guess Signature) you can check in and drop your bags for $10 a bag (at least you could last year) at a desk next to the business centre, we did it at about 10 am took less than 5 minutes and it was great going to the airport with no bags to carry. It was well worth it IMO

You can only do it if flying with an american carrier (I cant remeber which one) and Virgin

Its an external company "Bags to Go" that does the check-in/bag drop, I think I would rather take my bags myself and know that they have gotten to the airport...

You can take advantage by going to one of the locations below along with your bags, travel documents and a form of ID, like your passport.
    • Luxor Hotel - 0700-1400 - Located on the Business Centre level and next to the VIP check in area.
    • Venetian Hotel - 0700-1300 - Located in the main lobby next to the concierge desk.
    • McCarran Rent-A-Car Centre - 0700-1400 - Located in the main lobby.
    • Las Vegas Convention Centre - 0700-1300 - Located in the central concourse across from Exhibit Hall C3 (Only available when a convention is running).
    • MGM Grand Hotel - 0700-1300 - Located in the main lobby next to the bell desk.
    • Palazzo Hotel - 0700-1300 - Located in the main lobby across from the concierge.

Yes thats the one but AFAIK they only offer the service to Virgin and some american airlines. Do you know any different?

As for not trusting them I guess they wouldnt be in business very long if they didnt check you in properly and get your bags on the flight.

Whats the difference between leaving your bags there or with a baggage handler at the airport they are both private companies.

As said before, I used them and I got my bags at Gatwick , it was great not to have to carry bags to car and on to the carhire transfer bus etc, saves queueing for check in and or bag drop , only 1 trip to the airport and you can head straight through to departures, so from me they get a thumbs up.

For any of you who like the Earl of Sandwich at PH, there is now one open in London on Ludgate Hill near St Pauls Cathedral.

Anyone watching "Don't Tell The Bride" on BBC 3 at the moment? It's about a wedding in Vegas.

you cannot begin to imagine the squeals of glee coming from the direction of Mr ferf1223 at the moment.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    $5.95 rings a bell?

My husband is consulting bus maps to determine if getting there and back at lunchtime is feasible.

Have you been? If so, does it live up to the one at PH? I'm worried it won't.

And if there was a Star Wars machine I think it would put him over the edge...in any event, I would always know where to find him. :)
