Thanks for posting - we like Serendipity 3 (though do agree that it's overpriced) but also didn't find Cabo Wabo to be particularly interesting. On the bag drop thing - this is exactly why we drop our bags when the desk opens at 11 and head back to the strip...I could not bear to stand in a queue like that...what time did you arrive, out of curiosity? So I can be sure never to do it. :) I'm surprised that there was only one person - even at 11 there are usually 2 or 3 people behind the desk.

To be fair, I've never had a problem with Virgin at the bag drop before. The flight to Gatwick was 4:40, we arrived around 2:15. The flight still took off on time. Think the queue may have been to do with the new Manchester route, although I did over hear staff talking about some problem printing baggage labels...

Is the general advice just to stay clear of the water sellers like the plague? DO they work in teams to spot your wallet?

I've never come across or heard of any problem with the water sellers-not sure I'd buy water from them mind (no guarantee the water isn't tap water) so I'm interested where you heard of wallet problems from ?

    Thanks

They were actually sourced from another Vegas forum, but as it is a closed forum I couldn't credit the poster or site.

Well luci, I hope you are shamed by the no links. I mean i was going to buy the tickets at $55 and save myself the $$$, but on principle ill spend twice that when i arrive in vegas :p

I buy them - always check the seal is properly intact - and from nosin on vons website you can get packs of 24 for aboout $5, so dollar bottles have a pretty good mark up for these guys. I always find them friendly enough, and dont mind them.

    RE BAG DROP WITH VIRGIN

If staying at MGM (or I guess Signature) you can check in and drop your bags for $10 a bag (at least you could last year) at a desk next to the business centre, we did it at about 10 am took less than 5 minutes and it was great going to the airport with no bags to carry. It was well worth it IMO

You can only do it if flying with an american carrier (I cant remeber which one) and Virgin

it's a shame to hear a couple of posters didn't make much of Cabo Wabo... granted, have only been the once but can't wait to go back. The food was perfectly good (and plentiful!), we're not Mexican connoisseurs but we enjoyed it :)

in terms of atmosphere, it couldn't be beaten... maybe it depends on the time of day, we ate about 6ish as the sun started to go in, sat outside overlooking the strip and there was a real buzz about the place... great music, good crowd, great service :)

    hiya guys and girls

havent been on for a while but have been nipping in now and again to read!

was wondering if anyone had any idea where i can get the cheapest tickets for jersey boys. my parents are going (with aunt and uncle) from may 9-17 so was thinking of thursday 12th but i cant find any decent tickets - only ones at the very very back and in the corner lol! seen as im getting a deal on cirque du soleil tixkets i feel begrudged to pay lots for shows now haha!

any help would be much appreciated! any website recommendations, or promo codes or even advice where to get them once they are there (although i would prefer to get them before they go as i know they wont follow directions well and will end up getting ripped off)

    thanks once again

i bought jersey boys tickets at a tix4tonite booth. tell us where theyre staying and we can point you at the nearest/best tix4 location.....though im sure theyre not available every day, so you may need to be flexible.

    12 days til I fly !
MSE meet up organized now too :)

I'm a little perturbed to find the Coast hotels regard the terribly young "fabulous" 50 as "Seniors" but hey it means 7x points at Gold Coast, half price buffet and a free slots tournament on Mondays and 10x points and half price buffet at Orleans on Tuesdays so I'll live with it ;)
