Surely the promotions listed on the cirque site are not as low as the Summer of Cirque promotion?

    sounds perfect!
laid back is my favourite kind of concert ;) Will be nice to make an effort to get dressed up a little, but still stay cool comfortable :)

random question #2 (!) did you happen to recall anyone taking photos... I mean more professional shots from the front of the stage during the start of the set? I take photos at concerts over here on occasion, so was going to try and see if I can get myself a photopass to take some memorable snaps :)

No flash photography, video or audio recording allowed once the show starts, and not much to record before it starts anyway. And they do watch out for it. Apparently, she is releasing a new album but not for a month or so.

i know a few people who cannot stand flying and it takes them days to get over it , if they can get on the plane in the first place . one has the classic fear of flying , while another can get on a plane on his own , but cannot fly with his wife and kids .

i can quote all the statistics on how if you flew everyday , you would on average have to fly everyday for 19,000 years before you would possibly die from flying .

but your not really scared of flying , your scared of dying . yet we will all die one day , so why waste all our Billions of moments in life worrying about one single moment the will without a doubt one day arrive . nobody knows how many Moments we are destined to have and , all any of us have is the here and now , and you have a great holiday in great place , in a great country to enjoy .

If one adopts the view " if it's your day to die , it your day to die " and nothing we can do can change that . you have to accept that "whatever will be , will be " . , and get on with living and enjoying our lives .

The flight to Vegas is no worse than many i have took . you get the a bit of turbulence In/ Out of McCarren , but i have never had anything OTT .

Enjoy your trip to Vegas :beer: and you know you are going to post a trip report here when you get home . i'll bet my house on it

This sums it up better than I could. I'll admit that my fear of flying comes from others daft comments. First time I went to the USA it was a month after 9/11 and the day after it happened I was working alone in a small office in a factory and all the lads on the shop floor kept coming in saying stuff like "same will happen to you" "don't go there, think of New York". Really awful stuff like that and it really freaked me out to the extent where I felt physically ill and stressed and could barely stand with fear.
You have to understand as well that this trip to the States was where I would actually be going on a plane for the very first time and I was nervous to start with, so they picked up on that and took advantage of it. So there I was, sat alone, paralysed with fear, thinking about cancelling it without telling DH :o.
There was one fella who took the time to come into the office and just talk to me about my fears, and assured me that what happened was unlikely to happen again, and did the statistics thing and just basically calmed me down. He also told the others to back off. I never really thanked him properly for it, because he left not too long after, but he did help enormously, and like I said before, I do still get scared, especially when waiting to board, but I do try my best to push the thoughts at the back of my mind on the plane.
Once it's up there in the sky, nowt you can do but try and relax it out.

Sweeeeeet, given i have free tickets to see Any show at the Trop, think i might have to see this, do like a bit of the old soul stuff! :D:D

Are you sure it's any show? I would be kind of surprised if it included Gladys, but maybe. Regardless, I'm also looking really forward to your trip report.

Which reminds me - I think we have a few pending...don't we? Hmmmmm? I will not names, of course...but I am really looking forward to them! :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
