    haha!
    Heres my plan:
Arrive Friday afternoon (flying with VA), get to check-in (Tropicana) and try my hardest to get us a Suite (despite booking for a normal room with Netflights!), $ sarnie if you will! :)
Once thats sorted, on go the shorts and out to the Pool for me and the missis! Probably just nip to the shops and grab a bite to eat, as reckon we will be in bed by 8pm!

Saturday - sunbath all day! :D:D, and then at 8pm, got that Onboard bus tour which lasts until 23:30... after that, will do the mooching and walking and gambling and drinking! Bed by 3am :)
Sunday - sunbath all day! :D:D , and then on the evening, 7 of us going to Ellis island for munchies, casino and then karoake and having a few beers!! :D bed by 3am :)
Monday - Sunbath all day :D:D , and then 6pm onwards, do some mooching, shopping, etc etc, casinos, but bed by 3am :)
Tuesday - JUDGEMENT DAY! I'll sunbath until 3pm ish, and then get ready for my wedding (4:30pm pickup) , guess the missis will be doing makeup all day! :D , then onto Harley Davidson Cafe for Wedding dinner! :D:D , then change of clothes and possibly back to Ellis island for karaoke fun :) bed by 3am, sleep by 3:02am :D:D:D
Wednesday - Sunbath for a bit, and do lots of walking/shopping, mooching around, etc etc etc, followed by seeing Gladys at the Trop for free, then to other places after, bed by 3am
Thursday - Sunbath all day, more shopping and lots of walking, mooching, etc etc...pick up Mustang at 8pm, Bed by 2am ;):)
Friday - check out early, sort cases out (hopefully early check-in with Delta ready for Orlando flight), and then were off! full tank of fuel in the Mustang, so plan is to drive somewhere ALL day, hoover dam, photos, lake mead, photos, find some roadside diner with creepy locals in it :D , then back to airport for 8pm, ready for flight to Orlando!

Estimated sleep per night is around 5hrs whilst in Vegas......
Land at Orlando early sat morning, drive down to Fort Lauderdale (gonna need proplus and coffee me thinks!), stay 3 nights on beach hotel, doing nothing but sunbathing and relaxing, and recharging out batteries from the Vegas Rush!
Then onto Orlando for 7 nights, were we do 4 solid days of themeparks!! :D:D:D Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!, 3 days sunbathing, then come home, back to work for a rest :D:D then wedding party on the weekend!
    Sound a plan ??!!!!! :D:D

Will defo do my trip report, when i am there (brief), and funny one when i get back.....
And yeah, will reveal all my tricks for getting my freebies and so on!! :D:D

Hi guys, im not a regular poster on this site but do like to come along and have a good read now and again, and i must say this vegas thread is a godsend....i would happily have paid for this guide.

Anyway, im going to vegas may 16th and just cannot get excited, im absolutley petrified of flying and was just wondering if anyone had any advice as to which medication i should ask for from the doctor? Also ive read the flights to vegas are pretty bad experiences? im flying direct with virgin from gatwick.....Im so scared that ive begun to convince myself that my "negative thoughts" could bring the plane down :(

Flights aside i was also after a bit more advice in regards to booking shows...i really want to see the following shows while im there....Human nature, jersey boys, beatles love, the price is right, glee live and stevie nicks....would you guys suggest buying tickets for these shows from tix4tonite whilst im there or buying them from goldstar etc before i go?

    Thanks in advance
    Paul

Re the fear of flying, have a read HERE

Tix4Tonight doesn't sell Human Nature although VegasTix4Less does.

If you are getting a good deal on Goldstar then I would go ahead and book. If you opt for T4T you could spend a good part of each day lining up for tickets.

If I know there is a show I definitely want to see then I book before leaving. If I'm not fussed I wait till I get there.

I was going to wait to get tickets for Vegas! The Show, but a good offer came up on TravelZoo which was actually cheaper than T4T.

Have you looked at www.smartervegas.com or www.travelzoo.com , the US site not the UK one?

Remember if you go to tix4 with a ticket stub from previous day, you get to jump the queue.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.....will anti-histemines do anything? i think i would need something really strong as i am a nervous wreck at the moment and have been for the past few months, well pretty much from the time i knew we were going actually....are virgin flights from gatwick to vegas known to be pretty rough (convinced myself they are).

In regards to shows i might try and book tickets before i go then from the various websites suggested.

Another questions ive saved £2000 for spending money which is for me and my partner, would you experienced vegas'rs suggest that was enough? and thats spending money and shows...or should i try and get hold of a bit more?

    Thanks again

Holbrook, I used Paul Mckenna's Flying http://www.paulmckenna.com/product-flying-download-108.aspx for my phobia of flying....it helped a lot...

However this time round I took the bull by the horns and went and found a Hypnotherapist and EFT practitioner fairly near to me and she was fantastic. I saw her for two sessions and was significantly relaxed for my flights....the take-off and landings generally are the worst bit for me now. She gave me a CD too to listen to if I needed it, I listened to it once!
    That's what I'd advocate.

My sessions cost £90 in total, worth every penny.

If all else fails you could see a Doctor and they may give up some medication like Diazepam for the flight. x

It's only the "positive thoughts" of the rest of us that gets the thing in the air in the first place. Everyone knows something that big and heavy should never get into the sky. ;)
Try asking your doctor for a Valium tablet
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Luci, Tix4tonight do sell tickets for Human Nature. We found as long as you were there by 0845 then you got through pretty quickly, becasue although they can't process/cost any tickets until 0900 they can prepare as much as they can. And as said take your ticket stubs AND the brochure they give you and not only you can go straight to the front, you get a few dollars more off as well...got to be MSE:T

Joking aside, the phobia of flying can ruin any experience because on the run up you become overrun by panicked thoughts and even on holiday the panic starts to creep in just thinking about the flight home.

It's horrible, stomach drops, you start sweating and can become overwhelmed with panic, sickness and terror.

Some things that helped me a lot....

Remembering the flight crew and pilots have loved ones at home too and would never board a plane that wasn't safe to fly, take-off and land.

Watching videos about flights and the accompanying noises, the whirring, clunks, high pitched whines are all part of the normal noises that planes make when moving about and/or flying.

The crew are trained to deal with safety issues.

Not being in control was a biggy for me so I thought about the juddering my car makes sometimes when I'm travelling on bumpy roads and not being worried about that meant that I didn't need to be worried about turbulance, same thing, different setting...car/road...plane/air.

I also like to look out of the wndow at various levels, not all the time as it seems to unbalance me and then I get panicky, so I purposely stare ahead and don't look out of the window when we're banking.

Joining Flyertalk and reading about the numerous perks that can be got via flying...managed to accrue over 100,000 BA miles and we've only flown with them once...this flight just gone was the BA flight and we flew business, bought world traveller plus seats in the sale and upgraded with miles to business...it was lovely.:D

    Good luck. x
