MayWe haven't stayed at NYNY, but from what I have read the rooms are small by Vegas standards.
You will be right across the road from the MGM so remember to go and see the lions in the Lion Habitat, but they are only there between 11am and 7pm.0 -
MayI don't see anything wrong with a long weekend -I do it that way usually or do a few days -go elsewhere and return for a few nights before flying home. I find I'm less jetlagged after a shorter trip too.
May will be a lot cheaper than June or July United have May flights for £474 inc tax so depending on where you want to stay you should meet your budget.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

i **think** the transfer was included in the price /thrown in as a freebee, i will bare that in mind and not hang around to long waiting!! if we have to pay for a taxi, then so be it.
the grand canyon helicopter trip, i haven't got any times (the person who booked it might have) the details just say its a 4 hour trip and departs between 7am and 3pm.
Fly from South Las Vegas Valley to the Grand Canyon and back again on this unique tour. The accompanying desert landscape affords many picturesque views from the sky, including Fortification Hill, an extinct volcano. Pass over Hoover Dam and Lake Mead as you make your way to a canyon picnic. Travel 3,500 feet (1,067 meters) inside the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon to enjoy cool beverages, a light snack, and a champagne toast 300 feet (91 meters) above the Colorado River. Take a journey through Black Canyon on your way back to the South Las Vegas Valley.
i'm so excited now, do you know anything about newyork hotel? i've read most of the posts on here and no one ever seems to recommend it.:( is it bad? or just not in the right place really?
we stayed there in 2006. we had a Park Avenue room .
room size was not a issue for us . yes there are bigger rooms , but it was perfectly adequate for 2 people . Bed was very comfy as i remember .
you won't notice the rollercoaster , well we didn't . should get 2 for 1 for a ride on it .
America Cafe is good for breakfast one morning , but try to get and try other placesBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Can all you Vegas experts (!) give your thoughts on this?
I'm looking a for a trip for my daughter for mid Sept. Her mates getting married there and is staying at the Monte Carlo (dates are around Sept 13/14 to 17/18 and are flexible as long as they cover the 16th).
A quick look on Ebookers give a flight price for that week of around £770, but the Monte Carlo is doing an offer of flight and room which comes to between £790 and £840 depending on dates of travel.
Am I likely to find better if I search for the rest of the day/week !!0
