The 99c margaritas at Bill's are now $2, and they have also increased the prices of the draft beers and pitchers. We used to like a margarita in there, but there are better options for cheap ones now. I'll still go to see Big Elvis though.

    hi everybody

i'm going to vegas for the 1st time for 7 nights, end of may, lgw with virgin, premier class on the way out, coach class( ) on the way back. i'm staying at the new york new york hotel in a spa suite.
i have done a esta visa thing on line (haven't heard anything back but did print the confirmation page)

    i have booked

    Admission to Gatwick Executive Lounge
    Shared Roundtrip Transportation
    Mystere by Cirque du Soleil
    Grand Canyon Landing Tour
Blue Man Group Las Vegas: 7 PM show - Blue Zone Seat Upgrade
    Vegas Nights Helicopter Flight
and i've sorted the spending money (£1500 between 2, but with back up in the bank)

well actually when i say i have booked, i haven't, its all been booked without any imput from me at all.

would really be grateful if you would read through and point out anything that has been missed, or needs to be done.

and also any feed back or tips on any of the above. (even if negative stuff, because if something is not ideal i'd rather know before hand even if it can't be changed now:o)

    thanks so much

The only thing I would change is the shared round trip transportation if you can cancel without penalty. How much is that costing? It's usually around $7-8 one way and you can get a taxi for the same price.

With a shuttle you have to wait until it's full, or the driver decides there are enough passengers, before it leaves. Then it may go to a few hotels before reaching yours. A taxi will get you there in 10-15 mins.

Another thing to watch for is that they actually turn up to take you back to the airport as I have read several reports of people waiting for a shuttle that never showed then having to get a taxi anyway.

What time is your helicopter trip? If it is late in the day it may actually fly over the strip at night anyway. Some do and some don't so you would have to check.

    thanks for the quick reply:)

i **think** the transfer was included in the price /thrown in as a freebee, i will bare that in mind and not hang around to long waiting!! if we have to pay for a taxi, then so be it.
the grand canyon helicopter trip, i haven't got any times (the person who booked it might have) the details just say its a 4 hour trip and departs between 7am and 3pm.

Fly from South Las Vegas Valley to the Grand Canyon and back again on this unique tour. The accompanying desert landscape affords many picturesque views from the sky, including Fortification Hill, an extinct volcano. Pass over Hoover Dam and Lake Mead as you make your way to a canyon picnic. Travel 3,500 feet (1,067 meters) inside the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon to enjoy cool beverages, a light snack, and a champagne toast 300 feet (91 meters) above the Colorado River. Take a journey through Black Canyon on your way back to the South Las Vegas Valley.

i'm so excited now, do you know anything about newyork hotel? i've read most of the posts on here and no one ever seems to recommend it.:( is it bad? or just not in the right place really?
