I thought the Planet Hollywood rooms were on the small side-any room with three women trying to get ready-space is essential ;)

Rethinking my packing as it SNOWED in Idaho yesterday !!! Really want to do hand baggage only (Yes for a week ! Someone fan Stoneman ;)) especially as I now have plans to meet up with Luci between arriving and a show my first night and don't want to waste time hanging around for bags at LAS.

looking to rent a car and drive to the grand canyon and possibly LA though havent decided on that one yet if that is something people would recommend

and also buying tickets to shows and stuff, is it better to get them over here before I go or get them from the hotels or ticket places over in vegas

I second that. I hated LA, but San Diego was great fun. Seaport village is fun to wander round. Love the DUCK/Seal tour we did (http://www.viator.com/tours/San-Diego/San-Diego-Seal-Tour/d736-5046SAN_SEA) & the bar from Top Gun is there (Kansas City BBQ-didn't go in, but the food smelled great)

For hiring a car you are better to arrange it before you go through CH3000 or Netflights and all your insurances will be paid.

Which shows are you considering as that can make a difference to the advice?

You can get tickets on the day at Tix4Tonight up to half off. However there are sometimes good deals to be had before you go depending on the show, eg Ka is currently $84 at T4T, but you can get it for $73 using the link a page or two back for Summer of Cirque.

Agree 100% - a resort room would be fine - a Hollywood Hip room is, I think, way too small for 3...though the bathroom is quite big so much is taken up by the tub.

Luci - looking forward to your trip report! I'm amazed that they told people not to bring the trays back on BA...it's one of the things that annoys me on Virgin - how long they take to collect the trays (and how long it takes to get drinks after they bring the meals around)...sorry to hear BA is not leaps and bounds ahead of Virgin. I think we're spoiled by AA as they are sooo good at that stuff.

    Hello all!

Looking for a bit of an opinion. Have been to Vegas a few times, but not for a few years so a bit rusty on the following issue...price of flights. Am looking to go next March for my 30th with my girlfriend. Have noticed that the virgin sale is on and they have direct flights for £538.50 from London for the time we want to go.

Am I likely to better this price in the next few months? We want to fly direct (unless it is stupidly cheaper) and I cannot for the life of me remember how much I paid when I have flown before.

    Any advice appreicated.

    Cheers
