Actually it probably isn't for you-you need to be unfettered by giant make-up bags and shoes to make it work ;) I'm another 15 minute unpacker. I resent spending any more time than that unpacking when I could be out having fun ;)
    .

Ahh, but we only do it once per trip, unlike some;)
And answer to the question how we tip the bell desk, yes I follow the bags in to the desk and drop them a few dollars. Anyway, truce:D
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I was just having a look at the Vegas video network and came across this report. (about 4:30 in) A 4 bed house with pool and hot tub just north of summerlin for under £80,000 . And that is the average price for this type of property. Makes you think.

With regards to the buffet. What exactly are you tipping for?

Ive only ever been to one when we went to Orlando.
Some women came round, told us where to get our drinks and told us to leave tips on the table.
Everything was self service so i left $5. If she hadn't of told us i wouldn't of even thought to leave a tip.

    In the Vdara now.
Got a kitchen with cooker and fridge but no coffee maker or kettle.
Would love to be able to make a cup of tea.
    Seems quite empty in here.
Got a lively view of the strip and fountains.

No, they don't provide pans, cutlery etc.
Vdara was going to part sold as apartments hence the kitchens.
Due to the recession they went for 100% hotel.
So you get a kitchen but they don't want you to use it.

With few exceptions drinks are not self-service at Vegas buffets - so a combination of drinks service and plate clearing as you don't take a dirty plate back to the buffet line, and you don't want your empties sat on the table.

A couple of times our waitress has taken our soft drink orders and brought us back 2 each. We have always thought that was most clever, since it seems most people will get through 1 and a bit of another at least...bring 2, save the 2nd trip, customer doesn't have to wait for a refil.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
