    In the Vdara now.
Got a kitchen with cooker and fridge but no coffee maker or kettle.
Would love to be able to make a cup of tea.
    Seems quite empty in here.
Got a lively view of the strip and fountains.

go to walmart, buy a cheap coffemaker...or kettle in your case, very few Vegas hotels have either

call housekeeping and ask for them...pots, pans etc are available

    this ^

you get a coffee maker in some of the suites, but none of them come with cutlery, so you need to ask for this.

if you leave tips for housekeeping, they generally leave you a few more bottles of water/coffee pods in the fridge... alternatively, if you have any surplus of these, hide them away somewhere so housekeeping thinks you've run out ;)

With regards to the buffet. What exactly are you tipping for?

Ive only ever been to one when we went to Orlando.
Some women came round, told us where to get our drinks and told us to leave tips on the table.
Everything was self service so i left $5. If she hadn't of told us i wouldn't of even thought to leave a tip.

It's a bit different in Vegas -even at the cheaper buffets like the one at the Orleans you'll be seated, plates cleared as you go and an endless stream of refills of coffeee, water, juice and sodas.

I think I heard the M buffet may have self service drinks but that included wine and beer too -Not tried it but I'm sure someone who has will confirm (or tell me I'm going crazy :) )

Cant you boil a saucepan full of water?

That's what I usually do -kettles are a bit of a rarity in Vegas hotel rooms-even more so than coffee makers

i'm sure Stoneman said that they used to have self service soft drinks in the casino??

I thought someone else then said that they didn't any more

... it could have just been a dream though! :D

They did but as was mentioned to me previously that's a service no longer provided, saw for myself in March, so just had to settle for a jumbo hotdog, nachos and coke in the deli by the sports book, be careful to realise the implications when answering yes to "with everything?"
