MarchYou must have everyone waiting on you hand and foot, I dont tip anywhere near as much as you and still get good service with a smile.
$10 for buffet server :eek:
Me... I tip $2/$3
$5 and $10 for maid :eek:
Me..$2 a day unless I ask for more potions etc and then I leave $5 and usually end up with about 3 bottles of everything per day
$15 to $20 for 3 cases :eek::eek::eek::eek:
Me... $1 per case
You must have to much money
:rotfl: Our service will be the same...... Most tips are done at the end anyways, meals, luggage arriving to room, getting my car up from the valet etc etc. Maybe the buffet server is a bit high. We only did Cosmo buffet (twice) this trip but they were really attentive with drinks and clearing plates away etc etc and there was 2 of us. lol. The biggest tip expense is 20% on restaurants but this doesn't seem high from what other people have said..... (and I don't tip 20% here. 10% standard, and very occasionally 15%).....Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -

Marchwe tip mostly the same as mooky, though not as much on buffets in general...but if we use a 2-for-1 or use players card credits to pay for it, we tip more...because we're still way ahead.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Yes most buffets refill at the table -yes they are free although generally you pay for beer/wine etc . Some weekend bruches include champagne -but that's obviously priced differently anyway.
The only one I can think of with self service is Excalibur and I actually like the breakfast there and then fill up our coolers with soft drinks before we leave and this usually gets some funny stares and pointing and laughing, but hey two coolers each and that is enough soft drinks until lunch at leastIts Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -
October10-15 mins to pack 2-3 cases, depending where we are in the trip, which hubby does.
Anyway, that's what we do, and yes we take a lot of clothes. Someone was asking advice on whether it was worth moving mid trip, for us it isn't, for some it is.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
OctoberSo you are tipping the SAME as I quoted but accusing me of tipping light ? (Although for a 32lb monster bag I woudn't tip a dollar-If I can't lift it -the tip is more
) Not sure why you are tipping the bell desk "for storage" as well-I don't see why you'd need to even go to the bell desk. Hand bag to bell hop upon arrivial at hotel-tip $1 per bag -when you call for the bags (regardless of if it's 10 minutes or several hours later) from the room-tip another dollar per bag on delivery. Nope can't see what you are doing that is different to what I do (except have more and heavier bags
)

Marchok, so this is maybe scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of Vegas interest television.
But Las Vegas Lock Up is on National Geographic at the moment.
Appears to be airing again a few times

MayI just don't understand HOW you do it ???? Do you add it to the bell tip-or visit the desk seperately on a special journey ?
(and no they don't -I honestly don't know anyone Brit or American who does it ....well except you obviously)
I take the view that I'm tipping for the service -the literal fetcing and carrying-the time my bag rests in between in storage is part of what I pay my hotel bill for -it's simply stored -no-one has to perform a service on it during that time-so it isn't a tippable issue. If it needed feeding or watering or some other attention -that'd become a tip scenario.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
MayCrikey, it takes Tracy more time than that to pack the makeup bag. Man there seems to be a whole new world out there to explore that I knew nothing about:D

Actually it probably isn't for you-you need to be unfettered by giant make-up bags and shoes to make it workI'm another 15 minute unpacker. I resent spending any more time than that unpacking when I could be out having fun
It's funny though how we do things a certain way and assume everyone else does it the same way and are surprised when they don't.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

DH2B and I watched this a couple of weeks back.
It isn't really worth watching from a Vegas angle but quite fascinating if you're interested in tourists, hookers and gang members being arrested and held in room full of orange chairs.....
It wasn't quite what we expected :rotfl:Married in Vegas - 25th October 2011!
:kisses2: Best Holiday EVER0
