MayNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!... NOW SOLD OUT
you snooze you lose
thanks for posting though, not sure how i missed that... i noticed the following there as well - not sure if it's of interest to anyone, of if its any good:
I didn't realise Groupons sold out...... Luckily I managed to get one at lunchtime and actually got it for $10 as they sent me a $5 off coupon off any Groupon which had to be used by the end of the month. Glad I didn't wait.0 -

Loads of people go for the Volcano Nachos which is a mountain of food.
We've eaten there before, I think once but hubby thinks it was twice. We had burgers which were pretty good. Might try one of their signature Margaritas this time with having to spend $30. They serve Landshark beer.
We were on the top floor and it was a sun trap, really hot, so I hid under a parasol.
One thing I noticed there was that they had the tip worked out at the bottom of the bill, eg how much 15, 18 and 20% would be. Obviously it came out as a few dollars and odd pence. Wonder what they would say if you left the exact amount!0 -
MarchI also didn't realise that Groupons sold out...next time I will know to act faster...the stupid thing is there's no reason I couldn't have bought one then and there, I just always wait until I get home and do it then. Ah well...we got our LVA MRB today, so all kinds of goodies in there. Plus we have another Groupon and restaurant.com vouchers...so we are not short of dining options! Plus, I logged into my hubby's TR account on Sunday night to email PH and ask that they link our 2 reservations...and discovered he has a birthday month offer which includes $50 food credit, so emailed them and they've added it to our existing reservation...totally unexpected bonus.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Unfortunately, it had no effect. They said the Mustang was in a higher group and wanted an extra $40 a day to hire it. I refused and we ended up with a Sebring. In hindsight, it was an awful mistake because it ruined the drive down the Pacific Coast Highway to LA. The handling was dire.
If the Mustang was a higher class car than what you paid for they wouldn't normally give it to you for the same price...but you regularly hear about rental car places being out of convertibles.
I think my biggest fear is a row of PT Cruisers and nothing else.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I read somewhere that they sold out in less than 40 minutes. A record for any groupon so far.0 -

I don't know if they do it at every pick up point, but certainly at some Hertz will let you specifically book a Mustang for an additional cost (they do it with various 'premium' vehicles - we got a Camero in San Diego last year) if it's really important to you.
We've had both Sebring and Mustang convertibles in Florida before and whilst the Mustang does look way cooler the Sebring was fine and I actually quite like the newer models. Also had a bit more luggage space from what I recall.
Actually that's something to bear in mind generally if you go for a convertible and you're doing a road trip type holiday - you will struggle to get 2 suitcases in the boot so will likely end up with one on the back seat. We thought about a convertible but for this reason ended up getting a big SUV when we did the drive down PCH instead and really liked it as we were higher up so had a better view of everything.0
