Upgrades from Forum Tower Deluxe would be Palace Tower and Augustus Tower.

TBH, if it were us, given that the Forum Tower Deluxe rooms are recently refurbished, we might be inclined to stick with that unless we could get the Augustus Tower...but we found ourselves in the Forum casino a lot...and it's the closest to self-parking. The Palace Tower rooms are much bigger I think.

I think if you are pool people the Palace would be really nice-I'm not-much as I like the thought of it I never seem to find the time in Vegas-so like Ferf I'd prefer to stick with the Forum Tower if I couldn't get Augustus. For a week I'd definitely put $50 in the sandwich at Ceasars.

I just looked at my HET profit and loss statement -made for interesting reading- I lost at all casinos except Ballys and IP but overall I ended several hundred pounds in profit when taking comps (rooms and room credits) into account. My hotel reservations for this coming year (2 trips planned) are all comped too but I didn't count those into the calculation.
I had assumed I had more or less broken even -nice to know I'd done better than that

As a novice could anybody tell me if the Total Reward Scheme any good ??
Staying in Paris Hotel in March for 7 days & will probably only bet maximum of $60 /70 per day ( at most ) Is it worth the hassle?

    What hassle ?
You go to the players club-show ID-they hand you a card (and a few dollars in free play) and you pop the card in any slot you play. If you have a run of luck you'll get credit off your bill at the end of your stay (or off meals in the hotel with the card-and certain discounts when you show the card (20% off breakfast at Marguritaville and I think 10% at the gift shop-for example) and discounted rates next time you book most likely.

What is hassle about that ? :rotfl::rotfl:

You are absolutely right - I totally forgot about that...yes, for the pool it's brilliant as it's just at the bottom of the lifts to the room really. We only went once - also rarely seem to find time.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

As i said i am a novice and probably should be asking how much hassle is involved, rather than suggesting it would be a hassle. Its a no brainer really, i will sign up for reward scheme because i dont really have anything to lose from the scheme. Thanks for your help

Absolutely nothing to lose-and definitely something to gain even if it's just a few free dollars to start you off in the casino ...... and who knows :)

Incidently last summer I had a 2night Forum booking -and was offered the choice of a high floor with view in the Palace Tower and "no view" low floor in the Augustus Tower. I took Augustus because most of my plans were at the Flamingo opposite so it made more sense -My "no view" was a partial Belagio Fountains and full Eiffel Tower view -so pretty good for No View :) I loved the jacuzzi bath it was fab.

We have been going to Vegas now best part of 20 years and have never once been comped a room. Because I play table games it is too hard to get a decent rating, you have to play for hours to get anything at all. As an example spent 7 nights at PH on the craps table for 2 hours a night having about $100 on the table for the entire time and at the end of the stay asked my host what I had got in comps, he said nothing, not even a sandwich. Because we didn't go in one night the counter went back to zero so the stay did not accumulate, it showed 3 nights then a separate 4 nights play. I guess the trouble is I never stay in one casino for too long. We tend to hit about 3-4 a night and Tracy only plays penny slots. Blackjack is the same, to get anything at all you would have to play for 3 hours a night with a minimum bet of $25 a hand, probably a play through of over $3000 a session. If you did that on the slots they would give you a suite and a limo. I know the odds are different but you get the drift. Players cards are for slot players, not table players.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
