JuneDoes anybody have experience of flying direct from manchester with Thomascook or with US Airways via Philadelphia?
I flew TC last year from Manchester, we went premium economy but I think that has stopped this year because of the increase in the cost of air passenger duty.
I too am a bad flyer and really prefer the extra legroom so we are flying with Virgin this year, a lot more expensive but hey ho.

I wonder how the Gov defines a "non-economy" seat for APT purposes.illegitimi non carborundum0

Hiya, sorry to trouble you all..
Just a quickie.
I am going to Las Vegas in April - what shall I do about taking money?
Do most of you change your dollars before you go?
Should I just take a few dollars then use my debit card over there to get cash out?0 -

Is that flight and Accom together ?
I saw a deal last week with Ebookers, flying from LON to Detroit, then onto Vegas (4th June), 1 week at the Tropicana, for £648 (excluding R fee)....
Told my mum, as she wants to come see me get married.... talks her friend into it, so today when i want to book, same setup is £748
Trying to find any flight on the 3rd or 4th or 5th + weeks stay for 2 at the Trop for the price i said to her (say £660 tops) is not proving easy at the mo0 -
As a novice could anybody tell me if the Total Reward Scheme any good ??
Staying in Paris Hotel in March for 7 days & will probably only bet maximum of $60 /70 per day ( at most ) Is it worth the hassle?0 -

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
OctoberI wonder how the Gov defines a "non-economy" seat for APT purposes.
This does not include extra legroom or exit row seats.
I remember flying with Maxjet and the band changed in between us booking and flying and they paid the difference for us.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. OctoberReminder that BA are adding another fuel surcharge of £34 round trip tomorrow.
This really stinks, they already added on £20 a couple of months ago, and means that they can avoid paying certain taxes as it is not counted as a price increase, so if you upgrade your class of travel and are asked to pay the "taxes and fees" the 2 fuel surcharges totaling £54 will be asked for as well as increase in APD and other "fees"
What with all the problems they are having makes you wonder if they really want to keep the business going. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. Augustflew with us airways via philly 2 years ago flight was rubbish no ife, packed, philly airport was ok though, came back via charlotte which was much better. £1400 seems a lot though look at continental airlines £650pp via houston
I know i think it seems expensive!! Thomas cook is around £1400 from MAN & US Airways is around £1500 for 2. BA is around £1900 via heathrow and Virgin around £1600 via gatwick.
Im in Glasgow so if I am not flying direct then I would rather it was from Glasgow or Edinburgh but would be happly to fly direct from anywhere in UK.
Im looking to fly out 8th,9th or 10th August for 2 weeks so if anyone can beat my prices do let me know!;)0
