And another for whoever was looking at Monte Carlo......
72 hour sale (20% off). Book by 4th Feb, available dates up to 8th Sept. :)

Interesting.....just looked on that deal and could get the first 4 nights of our holiday including taxes and resort fees for just under £55 a night thats at the end of may. Might be worth booking as a fallback if nothng better comes up.

Bit of an exageration -plenty of people go to Vegas without feeling the need to drink or gamble although I do get what you're saying. I've met a few who didn't realize the enforcement of the drinking/gambling laws is entirely different in the US to here.

Maybe so regarding alcohol and gaming, but your life will be a misery for things like car hire, booking hotels, buying cigarettes and being 'carded' everywhere you go.

Monty Carlo is one of those hotes that the regulars here tend not to stay at. Ive never even been into it.

Don't really need car hire in Vegas -in fact with the free booze and the horrible Strip traffic it always amazes me so many people do for days on the Strip (rather than days further afield). Under 25s get shafted on insurance rates too . Me I'd rather walk or get a taxi. Dunno why getting carded is "misery" though-You're such a drama queen :D

Monte Carlo rather fell out of favour when the pool area was badly affected with nearby building work didn't it ? If I've ever been in it-I don't remember either

    MSE Florida wedding .....no problem
  • Sta Travel could offer me return flights for around £665 during our two windows (4th-10th July, 6th-19th August) which was at least 100 pounds cheaper than anything I could find online. They also gave me a 20 pound off voucher if we book within 2 weeks.

However, with eBookers I have found a package for £827.89 per person which includes (indirect) flights from Heathrow to Vegas, and 7 nights at Tropicana. Can also get 6% cashback through Quidco which brings the deal down to £778.22 per person. I think this is a better deal than booking flights with Sta, then hotel separately. Because I don't think we will be able to find a room on the strip at a 4* hotel for £226 for the week.

    Thoughts?

Different view......I like having a car.

Impossible to get near the limit on free watered down booze. Never use the strip.....always use Koval. Trips easier and quicker than bus, and cheaper than taxi return eg Outlet Malls, Walmart, Primm, Hoover Dam, Red Rocks, off-strip hotels, Gun Store. Try staying at MGM Signature but playing SNG poker at Mirage.

if you're getting watered down booze froggit, you're drinking the wrong stuff my friend ;)

we've been in Monte Carlo first time we ever went, we just kinda walk through though really (in my mind, it seemed we went in one door, then straight out of another but i guess we were in for longer in reality!)... can't you catch the new tram-thing from in Monte Carlo, that runs up through City Center / to Bellagio?

    (oh...and is Tropicana really a 4* !?)
