AugustI agree Netflights aint the cheapest at all, i was on about other agents (like travelrepublic for example)....
and comparing rate to rate, not F&F rate (how do you get that anyway, dont they ask who your friend/family member is ?)
What i was trying to say was, the same as everyone else is saying, compare rates direct with the hotels as well as through agents...... And yup, you get more perks booking direct, but then the 2for1's, etc etc you get booking direct, you also get from some of the UK agents, ebookers as an example......
Dont forget, i went straight to the hotel i'm staying at directly (just like you say to do, but had my dad foot the bill for the hotel anyway which resulted in him booking via an agent, but still blagged free show passes from the lady at the Trop....)
Oh, and Paris normal rates are $918 for that week, on a compare basis, not F&F rate
BUT and its a big BUT nobody on here compares normal rates, You compare ALL rates because most offer rates are open to anyone, including F and F rates and LCI rates, to name but a few
So why only compare a UK booking agent rate with normal rack rates that doesnt make any sense
No they dont ask who your friend or family is0 -
AugustSTripburger!!
I know lots on here like/love it, but I have been once and wouldnt hurry back. Burgers are nothing special IMO, in fact I prefer In n Out burger but of course it is not quite the same abience.
Milkshakes are good at Stripburger, then again they are great at In n Out as well0 -
MayIt's me again:o Still researching hotels for our 4 days in Vegas at begining of May. Me and my hubby are first timers, not interested in gambling..
Could you please recommend some hotel about 10 min walk to strip where we can get room with coffee maker and fridge for max £50 per night (we are on tight budget)?
Is there such a place?Best wins ever:
2012: Holiday to LA for 2 adults +2 kids for 4 days
2013: £2 000 Virgin Holiday Voucher!
2014: $1000 spending money for hols
2015: 8 night holiday to Thailand0 -

Does that include a weekend?
Most Vegas rooms don't have fridges unless they are for medical reasons and only a few have coffee makers. When we were at Paris in September we had a one cup coffee makers in the P room, but we have never had one on previous stays there.
If you really need a fridge and coffee maker you are looking at somewhere like the Signature, Platinum or Carriage House, but you will struggle to get them for £50/night. You might get the Carriage House if the rates come down to the same as last year.0 -

how important is a fridge and coffee maker ? there are cheap coffee shops everywhere , and if you just want a fridge to chill water or beer , then just get some ice ( all hotels have ice machines near the rooms ) and stick it and the beer in the sink . hey presto one free fridge
you should be able to find something on strip for $75 a night . others will advise on cheap off strip alternatives .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

you can buy a coffee maker for $10-$15 at WalMart...we do every trip...use it more than once and it's less than the cost of Starbucks for two...meant to say, we have stayed in rooms with coffee makers, but they have always required some sort of pod-type thing, not just ground coffee...so you would have to buy the pods. I can't recall ever seeing a normal coffee pot in any Vegas rooms...maybe Rio, but that was aaaages ago.
Most hotels will let you have a fridge for a fee per night - $10-$20 I have read - some say a nice tip (say $20) and a note for the maid will have one magically appear.
We bring a cool bag and fill it with ice each morning and each evening and it works for us for drinks and whatnot (including french vanilla coffee creamer)...wouldn't work for storing proper food though of course.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Thing is, that isn't what you said.
Netflights dont mention the resort fee at all, and it will be cheaper to book through UK agents (depsite people saying otherwise on here)
It is of course worth checking all available options...but almost no one will get the best deal going straight on the hotel's website without first consulting the vast list of sites from which to find offers direct from the hotels which are available to the general public...no point in comparing 'normal' rates with UK agent rates...because paying 'normal' rates would be madness in most cases.
I'm still wondering what free tickets you have coming for your stay at Tropicana.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Has anyone here stayed at Bills?
Opinions of it and any specific room recommendations (or rooms to avoid!)0 -
