blue_eyed_girl I'm sorry to read about your friend. Sending you huge virtual hugs.
Does cleaning count as exercise giggles? If so put me down for challenge completeI've been gutting the house and cleaning like a maniac.
Mmmm recipes.... I can only think of fattening onesI'll put me thinking cap on and come back to you

Oh blue_eyed I am so sorry to hear about your friend passing. I remember how difficult a time it was when my friend passed away, but as you say, you just have to take comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering. Dont worry about the WI or food, you had much bigger things to focus on. You can always make up for it later. Big hugs from me too.
pepop: YAY! Of course cleaning like a maniac counts! Anything moving around physical counts so its up to us to make it work for us too. Its so difficult to fit exercise in around our life sometimes, gotta find ways to make it work
Im going to have a think for this challenge, Im not very creative with food!0 -
Thanks for all the virtual kick up the bottoms
Sorry to hear of your loss blue_eyed_girl :grouphug:
Welcome to all the newbies
Lost 1lb this week on weigh in so back going in the right direction. I have also been for a run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, played netball on Monday and went for a swim tonight. Definately upped my exercise so hopefully see some results next week.
One of my favourite lunches is pastryless quiche which is sin free on SW. I usually make this as an evening meal and keep half for lunch the following day. It's lovely cold and tastes even nicer the day after.
You basically mix 3 eggs with about 400grams of very low fat cottage cheese and then add all sorts of veg. I like mushrooms, onion, potato and broccoli in mine. Put in an ovenproof dish and bake for about 35 -45 mins until nicely brown and springy to the touch. I like it with salad and beetrootIt's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0 -
:hello: Just having a quick catch up. Thanks Pep for your kind words. Well done on your loss this week Giggles - just remember the picture of a 1lb of fat from way back and at the end of the day - a loss is a loss or so people say
Helllooo pamsdish - welcome to our merry band of losers. We are a similar weight it would appear and the last time I visited the gps I weighed in at 97kgs - made it into 'double digits' - thats a bit of a milestone in my book. Wont be long before its the same for you. Good luck for your weigh in tomorrow.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
Hi susan42 - sorry for not getting back to you sooner but you probably realise why I haven't been able to.
I don't follow a diet as such but I tend to watch my portion sizes particularly potatoes, rice, pasta and my porridge. I'm not a big meat eater so thats not a problem. We did replace our dustbin lid sized plates for some smaller ones as you do feel fuller after eating from a full plate rather than having a tiny morsel of food on a huge plate - I know its all in the mind but it does work (most of time anyway). I am trying to find a way of eating that I can use forever and a day - eating reasonably healthily with a few treats along the way.
:T Well done on your loss this week. Hope the weather holds out for your bbq at the weekend.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
Thanks tranmererovers for your comments - you are so kind.
:jWell done on your weight loss this week and your heading in the right direction. You've certainly tackled last weeks challenge with great gusto - I'm totally shattered just reading about all the excercise you've done - hope it shows in next weeks wi.
As for the quiche - I did SW many many years ago and this was a family favourite. Thats one meal idea sorted for the coming week. I'd forgotton all about it - thanks

which for me is dangerous. Not because of the health issues (although these can't be ignored). But becuase I have a lovely boyfriend who is 19yrs my junior.
I don't want to push my luck and given that he was at a martial arts class and txt me to let me know how 'buff' he was looking - I'm feeling guilty.
I'll weigh myself tomorrow and request condolences and support !0 -
Giggles - well done on your weight loss yahhh:j:j:j, hows your new job going?

I weighed myself. I'm going with llbs.
Start weight - 184.8
RED I'm 5'3" with a BMI of 32.6 so thats obese. So 15lbs off and I can drop down to the 'overweight' catagory. I'm aiming for the end of June.
Wish me luck !!0 -
good luck with weight loss folkart, i`m sure you can do it. Not sure if it a bit ambitious to do 15lb in 4 weeks though....but it depends on lots of things.......
But theres no worries with trying, I did 6.5 in two week and Im about same as you...but I dont exercise what so ever and I`m on slimming world....
