Morning folks
Welcome folkart - good luck with your weight loss and your toyboy. 15lbs mind you is quite a high target to set yourself for the end of June. Don't be too hard on youself if it doesn't work out - sometimes people say the weight has more chance of staying off for good if it comes off more slowly. Are you following a particular plan or are you just trying to eat more heathily? Keep us updated on how things are going
Still working on those favourite meals/recipes - will get back to you later.:D
Enjoy the lovely long weekend everyone whatever you are doing.

Hey, Im feeling really ill today and with how hetic it has been starting this job my food has been really erratic this week
and not been able to fit ANY exercise in! So disappointed. Was hoping to fit in an hour each day over the weekend to make up for missing my usual 30 min sessions week days but feeling ill today so not had the energy.
Susan42: The job is going amazingly! Its really full on at the minute as its tonnes of training and as it was so last minute I still have another part time job to go to and various other evening commitments so I am knackered! But I think I am going to be very happy here. Although there is definately one good benefit that will hopefully help my weight loss.... 50p/month gym membership!!! Its the companies own gym and includes classes and 2 personal trainers that you can book with... all for 50p per month! Cant complain haha hoping to get into a routine these next few weeks then figure out when I can go. Im not really one for exercising in dinner hour as I hate being rushed and would feel all minging exercise then having to get back into a suit! I will have some late starts 2 days a week once I finish training but still, not sure I could exercise then get ready for work in the changing rooms. Im abit weird like that! So will probably try and fit it in after work.
tranmererovers: I LOVE the sound of tht quiche. Sadly I am lactose intolerant though and only diagnosed ab out 3 months ago so still not sure on what I can and cant have, and worried about risking it! Going to have a look see if I can have cottage cheese and if not if I can find an alternative I can havereally want to try this recipe!
Folkart : a yummy toyboy is a great reason to loose weight, but remember he loves you for you so dont put too much pressure on yourself. I agree 15lbs in 4 weeks is a HUGE target. A sensible weight loss is 2lbs per week, of course some people loose more but if you aim too high you may be disappointed and loose spirit. Although we are all here to boost each other when we need it
My recipe for lunch time is a zero point (on WWs) soup. There are recipes for some (like the spicey butternut squash) but if you just choose some veg pop it in a pan with some veg stock and boil then blitz (adding mroe water is necessary) you can make you own using whatever veg you find nice. A good base for the soups is onion and 2 leeks then more of whichever vegs you want it to taste of
I like brocolli. I dont add cream or anything as Im lactose intolerant (plus this adds points) and it really doesnt matter. Use salt and pepper to flavour

Awwww giggles - sorry to hear that you are not feeling too good. Hope you pick up soon and able to take advantage that works gym and personal trainers. If there are any spare ones can you send them up to me please so they can put me through my paces.
Its sounds as though it will be difficult for you to get some rest as things workwise are very hectic but try and make the most of this long weekend - unless you're having to work that is. Sending you lots and lots of hugs.
Favourite lunches for me are sometimes jacket potato with like an egg mayo filling and salad. Only use extra light mayo or sometimes the very low fat salad cream as it has a bit more flavour - oh nearly forgot about the diced tomato. Another lunch is tuna and cheese toastie - go careful with the amount of cheese and use the low fat kind if possible.
Well just about to get ready and see whats on the agenda for today - I think there is a trip to the gym lurking somewhere in there.
Enjoy your weekend girls whatever you are up to.

Giggles - hugs to you, hope you pick up soon, you must be worn out the amount of things you do, be careful, I used to be like that and the nurse in work warned me about doing to much. Plan some R+ R in other wise you could make yourself ill or have an accident like I did . I was too careless and fell off a pole and broke my back. Sorry if you think Im preaching.,
Blue - mm like the idea of the egg mayo, perhaps I can make some sarnies to go away tomorrow with it.
As regards favourite meals, I do SW and I love their chips, which are free food on green and the easy diets. I used to just slice up a potato and put in over with different flavourings, garlic - paprica- black pepper. But lately I been peeling the spud. Slicing up into chip shapes, parboiling for 5-6 minutes. Draining. Put on oven tray and spraying with one cal and shaking salt over and popping in the oven. Until crisp and brown
Yesterday I had it with tinned salmon, fried eggs and salad.Thats free food on the easy diet.
Normally I have chips, egg and beans. which is free on green and the easy one.Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

Yes 15lbs is a bit optimistic but I am taking the following into account:
- I was at the peak 'fatty time' of my cycle. I know there is no proof posative that we suffer this but enough anecdotal evidence to factor it in
- I have been a total pig since Easter and piled on 8lb since then...those quickly put on llbs tend to go just as quickly.:D
- I haven't been exercising since Christmas
- I am in court for two days 22/23rd June for the conclusion of a very nasty divorce that has taken 4 years to get to this point. Stress is a formidable weightloss tool and it is cranking up nicely.
- Boyfriend is also wanting to lose some weight and has removed all temptation. My sons (10 & 8) are hiding the chocolate.
Really it doesn't matter if I don't lose and ounce. BF loves me dearly and tells me frequently. I am more interested in rasing my seratonin levels and lifting myself out of the low level depression I have been under since my soon to be ex husband decided that I was not to have a penny of 'his' money despite the fact that I myself have worked full time since the age of 18. Apologies, I took two lots of 6 months off to give birth and care for my new borns. This lapse apparently means we split everything 30/70 in his favour. :rotfl:
The other reason is that I have a whole wardobe of lovely clothes referred to as "Mummy's 'too fat for that' Wardobe"!
I'm off to do a 3k walk/jog using the very fancy GPS thingy I was bought as a Christmas present (I asked for it!) and had never seen the light of day until yesterday. Last May I was 150llb and ran the Manchester 10k.
On a lighter note, there are a pair of rather nice horses on the route and sometimes they come down to the fence for a nose rub. This small thing can make my day.
N.B. I'm 48 tomorrow. For the next 6 weeks the boyfriend is 20 years older but we don't talk about it. Once he turns 29 in july we can refer to the age gap as "10 and a bit" and contentment is restored!0 -
Any idea how I can post? And how are you getting the little summaries on the bottom of your posts?
Hoepfully have an answer when I am back from my exercise!
