Well done giggles, :j:j:j a loss is a loss and by weighing early you would probably of lost more. Have a good time at TGI`s and eat sensibly the rest of the week. :D

I struggling what to eat, :(I feel as if I`m cooking lots of meals, if it was just me it would be fine but I have two others. My fault for cooking meals from scratch and spoiling them. But I have a DS who is allergic to lots of things and an OH who doesnt eat plain things ....and me who eats anything but not fatty things like they eat. :o

Think I best cook dinner 3 times a week, they`ll have to lump roast dinners for a while til I get more organised.

Do you all find it hard?

Can you all please give me a virtual kick up the backside. After a very good start I have fallen off the wagon :o. I decided I deserved a little break and a treat or two over Easter and it all went down hill from there.

I had lost 33lb since January up to Easter but not weighed in for a couple of weeks Now I really need to kickstart my diet and exercise again.

I'm a 43 year old SAHM to 3 boys of 8, 6 and 4. I've just started playing netball once a week after a break of about 25 years and am also trying to run so I can do the Race for Life with my friend in July.
It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission ;)

    Afternoon ladies

Just reporting this week's results -

    Weight 11/5/11 - 15st 9lbs
    Weight 18/5/11 - 15st 6lbs
Total loss this week - 3lbs
    Total loss since June 2010 - 7st exactly :j:j:j

Don't quite know how that happened - totally unexpected. Have been reasonably good with only a few blips. The emergency flake easter egg has been attacked - three of the four mini flakes have 'disappeared' but the egg remains in one piece (for now).

Having a bit of a stressful time as a close friend of ours has been diagnosed with a terminal illness so things have been a bit manic. We have been trying to eat sensibly even though our evening meal has been a bit later that usual by the time we get back from hospital visiting. Visiting has been arranged around my visit to the gym tonight just so that I don't miss out.

Will try to catch up with you all later - good luck with your weigh-ins.

Good to know that you are still 'on our team tramererovers'.

Thanks ladies :D. Happy to report I had a fab time at TGIS and when I weighed on the wii this morning my BMI had gone up slightly but my weight had not, so it did not do as much damage as I was expecting! However I am going to try and be good still and remember I have had my 'treat' already this week!.

Had a definate battle with the wills tonight and happy to say... I won! I have been craving something sweet all night. Luckily as I try not to buy an 'naughty' foods we had nothing I could reach easily. Although there is a HUGE stash of sweets which i was tempted by! But I tried to divert myself all night. 1. By Staying in my room. 2. I went to tutor my cousin so was out of the house for abit and looked the other way when I passed McDs on the way home and 3. I reached for a box of fruit instead of the sweets!!!!

I had made up 4 boxes of various fruit in the fridge so that it was to hand to grab and pick on instead of grabbing something 'naughty' and well, it worked tonight! So Ive been muching on strawberries, white grapes, purple grapes, apple and I have a tangerine still to attack!

Tranmererovers : Well back :D And see this as your virtual kick haha I think we all go through times like that so do not beat yourself up about it. Jump on the scales accept the damage and wipe the slate clean! We are all here to help and support you :D

Susan: OMG I find it impossible to cook evening meals! My main problem is that I have to !!!! for just one, so I struggle because most meals require me throwing half or more of it away! I do live with my Dad and Brother but my dad is extremely fussy (chips and egg kind of man) and my brother is never here anyway! My go to meal is spag bol or chilli, but I am starting to get fed up with it :(

Blue_Eyed: Woohoo go you! 3lbs?! thats AMAZING! And you have hit that milestone before your 1 year anniversary too, I bet you are ecstatic! I am so sorry to hear about your friend. My friend died from a terminal illness when I was 19 and I still think of him. It was all over quite quickly (3 months) and being such a young age his friends were not really given the full picture of timeframe (I dont think my friend himself wanted to know). He passed away 30th Dec so we all believe he wanted us all to see the new year in with a new start and leave the pain of the loss behind. He was so caring like that. Treasure the time you have with your friend and laugh laugh laugh about old times, memories, or just the fact you put odd socks on by accident! The gym will give you a great release too :D

    CHALLENGE WEEK 2 : Exercise

Thank you for all taking part in the week one introduce yourself challenge :D. This week I thought we could focus on exercise. Exercise is a great tool for aiding weight loss and loosing those inches!

So this weeks challenge is to increase the amount of exercise you usually do.

Now I know some people go to the gym, some (like me) may use the wiifit, some may go walking etc. All our habits are different and we will all exercise for different periods of times too. So this week see if you can just increase it, this can be anything from adding 10 minutes extra on to each session, adding in an extra session, using the steps at work instead of the lift, getting off the bus a stop early and walking the remainder etc. I know some people may not be able to exercise as much as others time wise or physically but anything extra is a bonus :D. Even if it is just lifting a bean can whilst you watch Corrie! Be inventive :D It also does not have to cost money. Most people have stairs in their home so stick a cd on and keep walking up and down them for 20 minutes swinging your arms strongly and you will definately feel it!!!!

And dont forget to let us all know how you are getting on, how you have fitted in the extra exercise and if you are feeling any benefit! :D And if you try any new exercise techniques do not forget to give us the low down too :D
