Thanks peppop - even though I was off the wagon I still tried to think good, but msot of the time it went out of the window haha

Had a great start today :D. Cereal then some quavers as a snack, 30 mins on the wiifit and now just had some WWs tomato soup and a WWs break roll :D. I have to eat regualrly throughout the day. I am definately a grazer otherwise I cant think of anything but food and end up convinced Im hungry and grab the 'wrong' stuff and usually binge. I did really well when I used to have a packed lunch during my month at uni as I would eat abit of it every half hour. Think I definately need to get into the routine of having a lunch box made up each day even if I am at home all day, it means I know what I am eating that day.

I was also wondering ladies whether you fancied having a little mini weekly challenge? lots of other threads do it to help motivate and organise. Most are monthly I think but seen as we weigh in weekly maybe we could just do little ones each week? Nothing major, maybe things like fit in one more exercise session than usual, share a recipe with everyone, try a new recipe, try a new food, walk up the stairs instead of getting a lift etc etc. What do you think?

    Evening ladies

Count me in too - sounds like a brilliant idea giggles.

How on earth did you manage to only gain half pound after a month off giggles (truly amazing) - I would probably have managed at least half stone :o. Your portioning is a good idea I think. I tend only to weigh out cereal, pasta, rice and potatoes - life is too short to measure/weigh veggies etc. Usually find I have a problem counting squares of choccy too :p Good to see that you seem to have found a system that works for you.

Had extra session at gym this morning and have been on the go ever since - just collapsed on sofa from sheer exhaustion :rotfl:

Good luck everyone - take care.

Glad you like the idea :D. We all seem to WI midweek so we could start challenges on a wednesday eve :D.

I can never be bothered weighing anything haha so I am hoping that doing some main things like you do blue eyed will help. I wouldnt worry too much about veg and fruit as most is low or no points on wws anyway! haha And as I love pasta, potatoes and cereal I know I am probably having about 3 portions and counting it as one hahaha

To be honest although it was a whole month I wasn't being completely reckless. I put on about 4lbs the first week which made me shamefully not want to go and WI (I did it on my wiifit) and then I would go from having good days to bad (cadbury easter eggs are literally irrestiable to me!) so I think my weight went a little up and down during that. I still tried to remember the techniques and get some exercise in.

    Hey everyone :D

Well I stayed the same this week. Just relieved it wasnt a gain! I bought the WWs calc tonight (the silly wheel thing is jsut too complicated!) and going to make a real effort to track this week and hopefully I will see a loss next week!

So today marks the start of our weekly challenges :D. I dont mind posting them each week. But if you have any ideas PLEASE PM me :D Going to try and do a whole mix of different things to help us on our journey so if anything has proved to be a really successful trick for you PM it me and ill see if I can make it a challenge :D.

First Challenge: lets keep it simple: Lets introduce ourselves and our weigh loss hopes and journey so far!

I am 25 and finally finished my education last year (up to a masters degree) so I am currently searching (and searching!) for a job. I think having no routine in my life makes it harder for me to keep on top of my eating/exercising so I am looking forward to havign a structure when I get a job. I did WWs about 2 years ago now and lost 10lbs max (was going up and down as had several holidays that year!) then gave it up because I couldnt afford it. I am still less than my start weight back then, and just about at the lowest weight I got to doing it last time. I rejoined WWs a few weeks ago I have lost 4.5lbs so far and need to loose about 3 stone! I live with my Dad and brother and we rarely eat together so I am find it difficult to cook meals for one (and hate wasting food!). I have dance lessosn once a week and am trying to go on my wiifit for 30 mins 4 times a week at the minute.

So thats me :D. Just say what you feel comfortable saying :D.

    Hiya everyone - Back again.

I've just cancelled my monthly pass at WW's as I was wasting the money by not turning up. I have been reading here to see how you're all getting on, but just not posting as I feel embarrassed. I really NEED to get a grip, so hopefully you'll have me back again.

I have put on a little of the one and half stone I lost from January but not too much (I hope).

Thanks for the idea for the challenges Giggle - it sounds just what I need. :D

OK. I'll introduce myself too. I'm Julie (41) who's a stay at home mum, trying to earn money via the internet, so that means I sit down all day. I alternate between being extremely strict with my diet or bingeing so I need to find a middle ground. I've lost 6 stone at WW's twice, so I know I can do it, my problem is keeping it off.

Hope everyone has a great result at WI. I'll pop to Boots and see what the damage is tomorrow. :(

Better late than never - just getting round to updating for this week (it's been one of those days despite getting up around 5 am)

    Weight 04/5/11 - 15st 10lbs
    Weight 11/5/11 - 15st 9lbs
Total loss this week - 1lb
    Total loss since June 2010 - 6st 11lbs

That's ok. Had a 'bit of a blip' at the weekend - over-indulged at the weekend in a big way - not with food but alcohol. I don't usually have alcohol as I much prefer food and see alcohol as empty calories. Had more than was good for me and when I got up on Sunday morning - oh dear me. Let's say I didn't make it to the gym for my usual session. Have tried to make things good but at times have struggled to say no to biscuits when people bring the biscuit tin out.

Made it to the gym tonight as well as decorating all day. Hopefully it will be reflected in next weeks wi.

Now for my intro - I'm a 52 year old goldie oldie housewife with a wonderful hubby and a grown-up family. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. At one stage, I joined SW where I lost almost ten stone but like Elysia I struggle to keep it off - for me, thats when the real hard work starts. Anyway, regained all that I lost plus some (surprise surprise). During a visit to my gp when I was having a medication review, it was pointed out that if I didn't lose weight I would have to come off hrt. Started going for monthly weight checks at gps and they then referred me to gym (absolutely mortified me at first - just picture the scene - wobbling in at 20st - trying to get down onto the rowing machine). I love it now - go twice a week and have been trying to slip an extra visit in. I'm not following a particular plan as such - just trying to eat healthily and exercise more. Don't really know what my target weight will be yet - that seems a long way off atm - quite scary.

Welcome back Elysia -please don't feel embarrased about posting if you find youself going astray. We've all been there and we'll soon have you back on track ;) Good luck for tomorrows wi.

Roll on next weeks challenge. Sorry for rambling on a bit.

I'm sooooooooo sooooooooo tired now - night night.

oooh my turn - thanks Giggles

I'm 42 and live with OH and two cats. When I was younger (in fact until I was 30ish) I was between a size 8 and 10 and could eat anything I wanted and my weight only varied by about 3lbs . Then I decided to become a vegetarian for a while and I really screwed up my metabolism and the weight started to go on. It was slow at first and didn't bother me too much but eventually I ended up about 3stone overweight. My biggest problem is that it only seems to go on around my stomach and bum. My first turning point was when OH and I went on holiday and everyone we met asked when I was due, how was I coping with the heat in my condition, how dare I drink in my condition and should I be lifting heavy chairs.... After 2 weeks of this spoiling both our holidays I came home and joined WW. I lost 2.5stones, got my gold membership and left. Guess what it all piled back on and yet again I look about 8 months pregnant. I keep trying with exercise and diets but haven't really got anywhere. I'm fed up looking like a frump and not being able to buy the kind of clothes I like rather than what disguises my bulges so my mind set has changed. I'm not going to get depressed about it but try to stay positive. So far it's working

Hugs to everyone and thanks for listening (cheaper than therapy :rotfl:)
