One of my favourite lunches is pastryless quiche which is sin free on SW. I usually make this as an evening meal and keep half for lunch the following day. It's lovely cold and tastes even nicer the day after.

You basically mix 3 eggs with about 400grams of very low fat cottage cheese and then add all sorts of veg. I like mushrooms, onion, potato and broccoli in mine. Put in an ovenproof dish and bake for about 35 -45 mins until nicely brown and springy to the touch. I like it with salad and beetroot :)

Ooh this might be a brilliant idea. I love quiche but OH is not fussed about it cos he doesn't like the pastry. I might give this a go. Cheers

folkart My OH used to do Kung Fu - just do what I did and get him fat too :rotfl::rotfl: No seriously only kidding. What about getting him to train you - if he's anything like my OH he'll know everything there is to know about fitness. Ooops forgot to say Welcome!

    irishgirl62 Hello

No comment from me this end Need to get off my fat !!! and get on with it - although I did spend the weekend cleaning the bedroom to within an inch of it's life... Maybe cleaning is the way to go :rotfl: Now I just need to work out how many calories I can burn knitting? :D

    Catch you later

    Morning ladies

Early start today so I thought I would check in before things get too busy (friends funeral later today).

    Weight 19/5/11 - 15st 6lbs
    Weight 01/6/11 - 15st 5.5lbs
Loss for last 2 weeks 0.5lbs
    Total loss since June 2010 - 7st 0.5lbs

Just about undone the 'damage' from last week. Year today since I started this healthly eating regime. What do I do girls - eat cake when I return from gym tonight to celebrate

Talking of cake - HAPPY BIRTHDAY Folkart - hope you have a lovely one - it sounds as though you deserve it.

Well done irishgirl on your loss :T

SW chips are a firm family favourite here too susan. Still do them from years ago when I followed SW.

Regarding your calorie burning whilst knitting Pep - don't really know but it will be more than when I'm cross stitching as your needles are heavier than mine. :p:rotfl:

Hope you are feeling a bit better giggles - let us know how your doing.

Catch up with you all later.

Oh I don't know, I think you probably have more arm movement :rotfl::rotfl: I know I'm sad but I've just googled it and you burn 102 calories an hour knitting or sewing. Result!! Although all goodness is removed with the ginger snaps I eat at the same time :rotfl:
I think you should celebrate your weight loss year with a rice cracker, low fat spread and some water....KIDDING!!!! Eat cake!!!!

    Happy Birthday Folkart

Thanks for your comments Pep - much appreciated. Just got back from hairdressers and while DH was waiting for me he called at the bakery and bought me a huge banoffee pie - going to save it for tonight when I get back from gym so that I can get the fluffy dressing gown on, slippers, cup of tea in one hand and banoffee in the other and just ....................... aaaaahhhhhhh bliss.;)

Mind you - folkarts cake looks rather amazing.

Just keep a check on the ginger snaps irishgirl or any other favourites bickies. Everytime I have tried knitting - I was absolutely hopeless at it and got sooooo frustrated - enough to drive you to the biscuit barrell or worse :D I find doing cross stitch keeps my hands occupied and relaxing - well until I find I have dropped my needle or gone astray with the chart. ;)

...for my birthday wishes. I'm making a beef stew and I have my Mum and boyfriend coming to visit. The boys are at football training for the day so I am on my own right now but looking forward to setting a good time on my 2.64k route !

hey ladies, awww thank you so much for your concern. Glad to say Im on the mend now :D. Made sure I spent the weekend resting cuddled up on the sofa with my little kitty! Hes been very upset with me being out all day every day now (we often had afternoon naps together haha) so I had some making up to do to him anyway!

Blue_Eyed_Girl: hmm must admit I have been having some jacket potatoes at work, no butter and just a load of salad, although I do succumb to coleslaw. Its sooo yummy! I think I need to start commiting to making this at home too. Great lunch suggestion :D and WOW what an achievement - 1 year in and 7 stone down! I hope you had some cake, you certainly deserved it!

Susan42: Oh I dont do that much really hehe Maybe I jsut make it sound like I do? haha I am handing in my notice at my part time job in 2 weeks so just 6 weeks of having to work an extra half day. I think it will be a big relief when that is out of the way as I will be able to chill out! Next week is also the last week I will tutor my little cousin as shes taking her gcse next week, so thats another evening activity gone! hehe Also hoping to tie up the editing I do, just got a couple of bits to finish off here and there so thats another thing removed from the to do each week! Im getting there :D And of course I dont think you are preaching! I value all of your advise and experiences :D thats why we are on a forum afterall, to share and support :D Im just honoured you took t he time to reply and offer your advise :D. Have to say I have never tried to SW chips, I think I might have to give that a go this week? I do love rock salt so might jsut try them with that at first. Thanks for the tip :D

IrishGirl62 : Welcome to the losers (in the best way!) group :D. Wow you have do so well to loose that much already! Looking forward to hearing about your journey and any tips :D. What is curves? I ahve never heard of it.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOLKART :D
    HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BLUE_EYED :D

Any idea how I can post? And how are you getting the little summaries on the bottom of your posts?

Hoepfully have an answer when I am back from my exercise!

    Tx

Hey not sure if anyone has answered this :D. Im guessing you know how to post now. But if you want to put the ltitle summeries you to to the control panel and then it will have an option on the left (I think, this is by memory) for edit signature. You can also edit other stuff like details (some peple put links to their blogs here).

oops sorry for all the posts there was just alot to catch up on :D.

It was weigh in tonight and I was extremely apprehensive. Infact I am shameful to admit that I even considered not going as I was convinved I had put weight on! What with starting the job and then being ill it meant I had done no exercise and my eating had been really irratic and not my usual stuff. I even had a McDonalds at the weekend as I was too ill to face making anything haha But I am pleased to report that I went (thought well if it was a gain I had a reason for it and its better to face the music and move on) and it was good news :D

    Previous Weight Loss: -6.5lbs
Weight Loss This Week: -2lbs (yayyyyy!)
    Weight Loss to Date: -8.5lbs

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I passed the half stone mark! WOOHOO! It felt like I was never going to get there just loosing a lb each week! So now I am only 1lb away from my 5% (this weeks target!) and 1.5lbs away from being in double figures for my loss! I like to break it down into little targets! Infact its only 4.5lbs till I am in the next stone bracket andddddddd 5.5lbs till the stone milestone! Just working on the first target for now though hahaha

Well done on all your challenge inputs this week :D. For any new members we have decided to have little weekly challenges, nothing major and totally up to you whether you want to take part and to what extent. Just hopefully to inspire and encourage us all a little more :D.

Week 4 Challenges : Trying Something New
Carrying on from last week where we shared some lunch recipes I thought it could be nice if this week we tried out something new. Maybe its one of the things another member suggested or maybe you have a recipe you have been meaning to try for a while, or maybe you find something new to try. It can get abit boring having the same meals sometimes hopefully this may encourage us to just try and spice it up a little :D. Dont forget to let us all knwo what you decided to try (if its a new recipe how you made it) and how you found it :D. Good or bad!

I think I will be giving the SW chips a go this week :D
