LOL! I just sat and did my shopping online to resist the temptation of buying!! I love HCBs! More than chocloate even!! And thats saying something. You will be having strange dreams about them tonight!!

Nice pamper last night, felt like i treated myself, no cost/no calories.:D Did use the Soap and Glory pore cleanser (came in the tote bag). Is all i can say is watch yourselves if you have one. Gives a very strong tingling feeling! Felt like my face was on fire. Couldnt do the three minutes it recommended but my face did feel great once it was washed off!

Been so good today. Had the VAT return to do, could have snacked all day really but had breakfast - Weetabix with yoghurt and grapes, and had a big bowl of fruit for picking at! Zumba again tomorrow. Feeling much more motivated this week!

    Txx

Hi Tracey - you mentioned Soap and Glory - I noticed they got quite a lot of mentions in the Boots thread re sale. I haven't really paid them much attention before - are they worth trying? Are there any particular items that you like? Don't think I will stand much chance now of getting anything in the sale though. But I think we all deserve a treat now and then - don't we? ;) Back to the subject of HCBs - I really really like them with a nice crumbly cheese inside. That lot would certainly give me strange dreams - no kidding. :rotfl:

I think I can probably understand Susan how you will be feeling, maintaining for a few weeks. I have been losing weight since last June and had times when things didn't seem to budge and then all of a sudden - bingo. It is difficult anyway but having an under-active thyroid will probably make things so much harder for you. Good luck for this week.

Will update you all after tomorrow's dreaded weigh-in

  • Well done kelda -you've had good steady losses. Good luck with next week. Can I ask - what are callenetics - sounds interesting.

If your weigh-in is looming - good luck - hope you get the results you are hoping for. ;)

    Hi Blue_eyed_girl.. thankyou!

callanetic looks like nothing when people are shown doing it but by god it pulls you in and tightens you up and you feel it the next day! (I did it years ago and wasnt able to go becasue I moved but a new class has started up near where I work.. so glad!)

    see:

There are loads of callanetic vids on you tube - some are the old videos from the 80's the hairdos and outfits are hilarious!
  • I'm a bit late posting this week. I put on 2lbs last week. I stupidly had a chinese takeaway on sunday night (thanks to DH) which wasnt even nice and I didnt enjoy it :( I had been good all week except for this. I have been very good so far this week and the good news (I had a sneaky peak this morning) is that I have got rid of 1 of them so far, phew.

Must do more exercise this week, as was really busy last week so didnt do much which isnt good for the weight loss.

Good luck everyone, heres to this week being better.

Chelle don't let it get you down - it's just a blip. I hate it if I fall off the wagon but it's even worse if I don't even enjoy what I'm eating. You'll get there.

Kelda I remember a girl I used to work with going to Callanetics and she was expecting it to be really easy and could hardly move the next day. Must be doing something right. :)

Blue-eyed-girl good luck with your weigh-in

I've been better the last two nights - I've been knitting so I haven't been snacking - fingers crossed it makes a difference on the scales.

Well done with your knitting Pepop. I knew it would work, I'm exactly the same, I have to keep my hands occupied, or they are shovelling food in my mouth.

Susan - sorry you've stayed the same again. Try and not get downhearted. When you start moving it again, it'll come off a lot at once. Can you try and change one thing this week and see if it makes a difference? If you eat cereal everyday - try having a boiled egg and some toast, or if you always have a banana after lunch, have an apple instead. It may be something simple as that, to start you losing again. It's worth a try.

Kelda - when you mentioned Callanetics, my first thought was blimey, that's going back a bit! I didn't know they still did classes. I was looking into Zumba classes yesterday but there are none by me. :(

  • :hello:

Thanks kelda re callenetics - I will have to have a good study of the links later when I have a wee bit more time. I think I would probably have to find a class to go to as I haven't really got enough discipline to use a dvd at home. I go to gym usually twice a week on a gp referral basis - one class is in the fitness suite and the other is usually aerobics. I am trying to become more active at home and going for walks a few times a week. Hope things are going well for you. ;)

Hi chelle - isn't it awful when we have something we shouldn't and we don't enjoy it :( I don't know about you but I will complain about something not being very nice but I carry on eating it. It's just a case of moving on from last week and you seem as though you are back on track girl - keep up the good work.

I tried knitting PepPop several years ago and all I can say is that my efforts were enough to drive me to drink. :rotfl: I just couldn't get the hang of it so I think I had better leave the knitting needles in the cupboard. What are you knitting at the moment? Hope you are rewarded for your efforts.

Whoops nearly forgot - weigh-in took place this morning .......... a loss of an amazing 1lb (new weight 17st 3lb). Would have liked more but it's still a loss. Will try and stay on track this week as next week I know that I will be eating out etc.

Keep up the good work girls.

blue-eyed-girl Congratulations on your loss :T:T I'm knitting a pair of long-sleeved fingerless gloves. I started them ages ago and gave up cos I couldn't get the thumb to work properly but I've nearly finished one - amazing what I'll do not to eat :D At least they'll be finished for next winter :rotfl: Have you tried crocheting?

I am going out tomorrow for an indian for a friends birthday! Any ideas what has the least calories? I only eat chicken so has to be chicken or veggies? Any ideas would be great as I cant seem to get back on the wagon! Start off well at breakfast but end up sneaking something in!

Hi PepPop - are your gloves stripy ones??? I have tried crocheting - my nan tried to teach me many moons ago. We were trying to do little doilies - well - no matter what I did they just wouldn't turn out flat. They ended up like little hats :rotfl: - yet another disaster. I did enjoy doing cross stitch however - I think I might have to have a look around for a new kit (can be expensive) or I might even see if I can do some easter cards.

Will have to get my thinking cap on

Legendmum- Im going to a wetherspoons curry club tomorrow night, and when i went on weight watchers online to plan my meal, i think it was the Rogan josh that was showing as the least amount of points. I suppose its because its tomato based, and not creamy (like a Korma/Tikka Masala). Also, try and go for a spicier one, as chillies speed up metabolism. Also, personally for me, I will eat less of a spicy curry than a creamy one, basically because the more i eat, the hotter my mouth gets! Simples!
