Hi tracey - hope your weigh-in wasn't as bad as you were expecting. Sometimes when you expect the worst you get a pleasant surprise - hope this is the case. It is hard when there is a lot of party food around - it seems to hang around for ages. I don't know about you, but I can't bring myself to throw stuff out. Hope you all had a lovely party. Yum Yum M&S birthday cake. Could just eat a slice with my cuppa. Probably putting weight on just thinking about it - it seems that way sometimes. Good luck for this week.

What a result Elysia - how did you manage that - share your secret please. Whatever you did last week keep doing it this week. It's obviously working. :T

Hi PepPop - my danger time is on a evening when all the chores are done and I settle in front of the tv. OH asks if I would like a cuppa - my mind thinks oohh what can I have with it. Fruit and youghurt never seem to go as well as biccies and choccies do they? I must admit I have started sitting with the laptop on my knee and keeping up with you lot to keep me on the straight and narrow. So keep your posts coming and then I might keep my hands out of the biscuit tin. I used to do cross stitch pictures and that used to keep me occupied but there are only so many walls in a house.:rotfl:Hope you have a good week.

Just remembered Biggest Loser is on at 9pm tonight - I really enjoy this programme. They are really put through their paces with the exercising - makes my attempts seem pretty pathetic. Perhaps that is where I am going wrong.

Keep up all the hard work girls

Just made the kids packed lunches and put the last two bits of birthday cake in them so no more for me!! Hopefully this week should be better. Party food all gone after the boys attacked it earlier. Thank goodness.

My weigh in is tomorrow eve - but the scales said this morning I have put on everything I lost last week - but I have done more exercise and stayed within points this week. V frustrating!

Just checking in .. well done girls for your losses and maintaining! Especially Elysia! Wow-wee!

I started my healthy eating and bit more exercise on 10th Jan- the day i went back to work.

The extra exercise is walking to and from the train station rather than taking the car (about 15mins each way) and a 50 minutes callanetics class (on top of the 1 hour pilates class Ive always done) per week.

The healthy eating is just using the myfitnesspal.com app and being aware of the calories in stuff and what my calorie goal is per day - some of the things thats resulted in is me switching from a glass of wine to a gin and diet lemonade as my tipple and not eating biscuits at work!!

So far Ive lost 4lbs - so 2lbs per week, which is what my app was set for me to lose every week, so I'm happy with that!

elysia Yep it's me  I'm fine when I'm card making - it just seems to be when I'm watching the tv - so I took your advice and dug my knitting out last night and it worked

Great work everyone and thanks for all the tips.
  • :hello: Hi Everyone - just a little check in with you all

Legendmum - walked into Tesco and Sainsburys yesterday and was greeted on both occasions by huge displays of hot cross buns. Couldn't resist giving them a little squeeze just to see how fresh they were (they were fresh) but I did resist the temptation (only just) of putting them in my basket even though they were two packs for £1. Hope I'm rewarded at my weigh in tomorrow (fingers crossed). Ive got them in my head though now:eek:

:T Well done Tracey on maintaining with all the temptation you have had around you. I bet you are relieved it has all gone now. I think you are onto something - we should give ourselves little pamper treats as rewards - the non-fattening sort of course.

Good luck diddly for your weigh in later - let us know how you get on ;)

Well done kelda -you've had good steady losses. Good luck with next week. Can I ask - what are callenetics - sounds interesting.

If your weigh-in is looming - good luck - hope you get the results you are hoping for. ;)

Well done elysia on your weight loss.

I went and stayed the same 3 weeks running that is.

But I think its medical, i`m off to check it out, dont know alot about womens things and having an underactive thyroid doesnt help.

I will persever though and see what happens

My OH is annoying though, when i do a diet i cant have any sweet stuff at all, i have to cut it out completely. So he goes in £1 shop and buys all the WW biscuits and cakes as then i can have some.... Problem is i dont know when to stop

LOL! I just sat and did my shopping online to resist the temptation of buying!! I love HCBs! More than chocloate even!! And thats saying something. You will be having strange dreams about them tonight!!

Nice pamper last night, felt like i treated myself, no cost/no calories.:D Did use the Soap and Glory pore cleanser (came in the tote bag). Is all i can say is watch yourselves if you have one. Gives a very strong tingling feeling! Felt like my face was on fire. Couldnt do the three minutes it recommended but my face did feel great once it was washed off!

Been so good today. Had the VAT return to do, could have snacked all day really but had breakfast - Weetabix with yoghurt and grapes, and had a big bowl of fruit for picking at! Zumba again tomorrow. Feeling much more motivated this week!
