glendam Thanks, Ive been doing weight watchers since Feb 2010 but have started the Pro Points plan on weight watchers 2 weeks ago.
I can also highly recommend Just Dance and Just Dance 2, we also had the 1st EA Active for about 3 months before we bought the balance board as you get the leg strap and the resistance bands with it.0 -

Can't bring myself to getting the tape measure out yet :rotfl:
Someone suggested to me that if you can't bear to measure yourself, you could measure with a piece of string. Tie a bead at one end and then tie a knot where it meets round your middle. Then, when you are a lot slimmer and want to measure yourself, you can look back at the piece of string then and measure to see how much you have actually lost from your waistline.0 -

Economy; careful management; providence. Whether you call it thrifty or frugality it all comes down to getting more for your money.0 -

Sorry to have been missing for a while, I was struck down with the norovirus and I'm still recovering. I haven't weighed myself this week, as I've not been at work, so will wait until next Tuesday and weigh in. I've just started getting my appetite back, but can't manage to eat much in one sitting (yesterday's half a chicken thigh, two potatoes and a spoonful of veg did me in). I've been a little better today, cereal, soup and dinner is going to be sausages as a treat (and we're using up our freezer-not been out the house for a week).

Todays a new day, for the first time in three weeks I had a bad day , yesterday, I was okay until 3pm, then it started first the pizza, then the chips, then the fudge - why did Boots have it reduced to a £1?, then my Mum sent my children back with biscuits that they had made. Once a week my children go to their Nanny's home but usually they have eaten all the things they bake before they get home not yesterday - so my will power went out of the door to walk on its own and I sat on the settee eating.
So I have been for a walk this morning and decided to read this for inspiration.
Wow - what a great idea about the string - I might do that all of my weight is around my middle and boobs.
I'm trying to watch Fat Families and the US Biggest Loser to keep me going - did anyone see that the girl on fat families who was given a photo of herself thin - I think I want that. Do you think that's what inspired Fern Britton when she did that ryvita advert?
Has anyone joined the biggest loser diet - I have the dvd from last time which works over 6 weeks but to be honest I haven't done it yet. think there is a wii biggest loser too. Can't justify buying it yet.
Good news after the flood (radiator busting when we had the cold before christmas) we moved the cross trainer this week and it is unaffected by the water damage and is now in our front room - we use our back room as a living room. So I should be using that a little more.
My pedometer has kept me going and I'm still over 10,000 day might have to up it to 11,000 in February. We did a trial thing at school with pedometers (I'm a teacher 3 days a week) and it really made some of the staff think about gym memberships etc. A couple of the staff found they did more exercise on non-gym days, one girl said that if she knew it was a gym day she did no other walking around even in school and at home.
Anyway - I fell more positive already. Keep it going girls and will power has to have a day off every now and again.0
