I went to my first WW meeting today and was 11stone 12lb. Have bought a WW calculator also some decent kitchen scales (not WW ones) and a liquidiser with a view to making some soups. Can anyone supply any recipes for good tasty soups or any links to any websites where you can find them?

Also (and please excuse me, because I am new to WW), but can anyone tell me if there are any websites that I can look on to find out the Pro points value of branded goods, rather than having to work them out? Or books similar to calorie counters that give the WW Pro points value of branded goods to save me from working them out? I think that WW just want you to buy their products, but I would like to have a handy reference to see for example how many pro points are in a tin of say heinz tomato soup. Thanks everyone.
  • What soup? I seem to have missed something:rotfl:

When I went to SW last week the leader told us about a recipe that she had been told about, but couldn't force herself to eat it, but somebody else had tried it and said it was lush.

    Here's the recipe

    1 tin of baked beans
    1 tin of tomatoes
    1 pickled onion

    cook, blend, eat.

I have to say it sounds, in my very humble opinion, vile. But I have just been down the local shop, purchased a jar of pickled onion, and made it.

I have made, I have sampled and it's ok. Wouldn't go as far as to say it's lush. Unfortunately, I can' eat soup without having bread and butter with it.

But a very frugal tea - home made soup, home made bread, and about to have a slice of home made fruit cake for my pudding (FRUIT IS GOOD)

And even better, I have only used 1 pickle, how much more soup can I make..............:D

    WD fortune - 3lbs WTG

Legend - well done - don't cut out pasta you still need carbs. Just reduce your portion size.

Marg - I know it's more cost but there is a shopping guide in Ww's. It tells you the points of all the branded foods. There's also an eating out guide for the points of Mcdonalds, and indian, kebabs etc. They're invaluable.

I did over 300 cals on my wii game today - dance wrokout. It compares the exercise you do to food - I burned off a plateful of pasta and tomato sauce, yesterday it was a slice of pizza. :D

For those of you doing the couch25k have you checked out this site You can download this guys programs as either a podcast or MP3 file and you basically just do what he tells you. There's a different one for each week - I've used them and find them really good.

Welsh Poppy that really interesting - I have never heard of a Convaladation. I don't have a practising faith but OH was brought up catholic but he's always wanted us to get married outside (on the banks of a Loch) but we can't get a priest to marry us because the grounds aren't sanctified and TBH it's one of the main reasons we haven't gone ahead with it yet... but now you've got me thinking that maybe we could speak to the local priest about this. You are a STAR! Congratulations on your annulment too - ooh it must be exciting

    PS I'm sooooo hungry!!!!

Good luck and yes it took a long time and so so pleased it was very stressful but glad sorted out.

i am sure your priest will be helpful and do all they can to help:j:j
