Hello all
susan 42, I'm just watching the 10 things you should know about losing weight on, that was on last night
Bit worried about my waistline , more than my total weight, but I've done 10,000 steps for the last 3 days. I work Mon, Tues, Wed but Thurs and fri I'm at home. Walking to and from school is 3500 steps.
Think I might have to start writing a food diary - might look at the 'grazing'
Not sure how I'm doing - first weigh in for me is Monday0 -
Marg - sorry I didn't reply last night - I hadn't read through the posts as it was late.
The meeting fee is £5.99 per week but you can buy a monthly pass - £15.99 payable at class for the first one and £19.99 afterwards, taken by direct debit - over a year this means, your classes are half price.
The new points calculator is £9.95 and you definately need it - the cardboard one you get in the pack is hopeless.
It's also difficult when you want 30grams of something and the points values are per 100g. If I were you, I totally recommend buying the scales too, but join first and see if you like the plan. It'll be a waste of money if you give up in two weeks.Give it a month and if you're still committed buy them then. I've been a member (off and on - more off lately oops) for 12 years and I have had two or three sets of scales, they are worth their weight in gold. I don't know the price as they didn't have the new ones in stock for me to buy, so hopefully I'll get mine next week.
Thanks Susan for the info - I'll have a look at that program after i've been on the wii. OH has bought me My fitness coach - dance workout (should be a laugh). DD2 has the new Just Dance, I might have a go of that too.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Thats brilliant on the 7lbs since xmas, - got to apologise as I din't know COPD is. - but can fully see where your coming from re exercise, _ I've got a dodgy back, hip, spine, and knees, - and stuck on crutches to keep me upright..... a gym ...I'd be their best customer - never be able to go!
xx
Thanks, mum2one, I'm really pleased and it's boosted my confidence no end, given me the inclination to carry on! COPD is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a term which encompasses many permanent lung complaints such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Usually but not always caused through smoking, which I did for 40 years, so only have myself to blame. I'm very fortunate that I only have inhalers, tablets and a nebuliser, don't yet have to rely on oxygen cylinders, which many do. Anyway enough of that, this thing has to live with me, not me with it
. Lol at the gym, I could go but would keep the ambulance service running around all day!
Started my day with half a grapefruit and some scamble on half a slice of toast which for me is amazing, as I don't usually have any breakfast. I'm swapping some of my zillion cups of tea for hot water with fresh lemon juice, which is surprisingly nice.
Happy Friday !

:hello:
Just seen an advert for a ww diet plan in tomorrows daily mail - it may be helpful
Getting ready for my meal - chicken kiev and veggies (kievs were posh ones - real chicken - not the pre-chewed sort - in morrisons reduced to 99p use by today). Not the most low cal choice but won't have any potatoes with them. Stocked up on ww ready meals too as they are always a good standby when u are in a hurry.
Good luck everyone
Bye for now

Hello there can I join please?
As you can see by my sig I'm about 2st overweight. I used to be one of those size 10s who could eat anything and not gain a lb but boy did it catch up with me - I think all those calories where hiding somewhere waiting to pounce when I wasn't looking. I have done WW and got to my goal weight and put it all back on. I'm fed up looking at holiday pics and being embarrassed so NO MORE!! I want my old body back - don't even feel like me anymore so it starts tomorrow (I would say now but I've done nothing but eat rubbish since I came in from work and the 10 boxes of chocolates sitting in my kitchen are not helping!!!) So the plan is - eat healthily and watch my snacking.
I did join a gym but due to the area it's in I haven't been since it started getting dark at night so I'm thinking of cancelling it. My only other option is to join another one near my work (which costs 3 times as much  and ties me in for 18 months) or to get off my a*s and go out walking at lunchtime. Think I'll go for option 2.
Sorry for the long blurb but I'm planning on popping in daily to catch up and stay motivated. So see you all tomorrow...0 -

'Evening all and hi PepPop. We're much the same weight so good luck to us both
. Shelby I think it does help to write it down, lets us know if/where we went wrong and gives others the chance to comment, kindly or otherwise! A bit of tough love doesn't hurt now and then
Not had such a good day today, feel I didn't eat properly at allbut seeing it written down it doesn't look so bad
Breakfast 1/2 red grapefruit
Lunch dry fried egg on plain brown toast
Mid pm small icecream cone (have a few in the freezer, once they're gone they're gone - in fact in the morning I'll give them to the LO next door)
Tea ladle of hm game casserole, only veg in it are carrots, peas, butter beans, red onion, red pepper.
Supper wholemeal pitta bread (no butter) with teasp low fat mayo, lettuce, peppers, tomato and 6 prawns
Snacks 3 satsumas, an apple and a banana
Shouldn't have had the supper but really fancied something. Thinking I'll make the daily meal portions slightly bigger to stop me being hungry late at night which is when I usually fridge pick. Tomorrow I'll turn the rest of the casserole into soup and have it later in the day, then try not to eat after 7pm.
Made an appt for eyebrow waxing  and a pedicure in three weeeks time, pre-hols, and hair cut and coloured on Tues. It's got a lot of natural red in it so will go a deeper red with low lights. Never done anything like that before, I wonder if I'll opt out?
Keep on keeping on, night night
