But then at only 31 I cant keep going like this or I prob wont make it past 50. Fingers crossed for a loss this time next week.

I would like to join this thread rather belatedly. I have been thinking for a while that I ought to do something about my weight, as I have gone up a couple of clothes sizes in the last couple of years. I don't actually know what I weigh, as I don't have a set of scales, but I will get myself weighed as soon as I can and will post on here. I am in my fifties and at a guess, I am probably around about 11 stone, but as I have been between around 9 or 9 and a half stone for most of my adult life, this is too much for me.

I can usually be found on the competitions boards, but thought that I would search further afield for special offers on weightwatchers etc. This brought me to this thread. Whilst I am here, can anybody point me in the direction of any other useful threads, such as weightwatchers discounts etc.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully lose weight together.

    Hi marg2k8,

Do you belong to Quidco? They are a cashback site which at the moment have an offer on giving you a £32.95 discount on a 3 months WW membership AND £30 cashback. That means you are effectively being PAID about to join. Definately worth a go!!!

Yes - we joined Quidco for our insurance, so I will probably give that a go. Thank you.

Marg - I've done WW online plan via quicdo twice now and they've paid no problems. You will get 12 weeks membership (don't forget to cancel the plan on week 12 though) - and then just take out another one, when the offer comes back.

Still getting to grips with Pro - points. OH and I went to Merry Hill today searching for bargains (couldn't find any). He sat in the restaurant section and ate a big breakfast, so off I waddled to Boots to get a sandwich - out came my calculator so I could point everthing. :D. I chose a Mexican wrap for 7 points. For breakfast I had three points of porridge, with milk, for tea I had cauliflower cheese with extra veg, 7 points and I've just had two of the bars sold at the club. With milk allowance for tea, that comes to 26 out of a possible 32.

Isn't it amazing - all day long I could eat myself silly, but when I'm in the frame of mind that I want to eat heathier/diet, I'm not hungry at all!!!

May I join please? I'm going on holiday 4 weeks today and would really like to lose at least 7lb before then (lost 7lb already since Christmas) - and another 3 stone :o when I get back

I'm 11st 7lb, ideal weight 8st 7lb  and 5 feet tall, or short, whichever way you see it :D
Have COPD so any weight loss is going to be beneficial but can only exercise in short sessions, say 5/10 mins at a time if not too strenuous

I don't go to the gym and not on WW or similar programme as I can't afford to pay if I have to miss weeks, so just eating sensibly, exercising at home, and doing more housework rather than watching rubbish television most of the day.

I'll be a little lighter and the house a lot cleaner, so a double whammy :D
