  • Been for a run today (6miles) quite hard after a few weeks off so need to build back up to regular level again like in Dec before the cold and Christmas kicked in!

Tomorrow off for a walk in the Peak District around 7miles I think

Then mught start the dreaded Shred again this week if can't spare the time to get out running due to assignment deadline next week

Will weigh myself at work on Tuesday then take my measurements again. I can feel my waistline has increased again in size after it went down last year so looking forward to exercising more and getting some inches off rather than lots of weight

I'll let you know the results

I started to learn to run a while ago, but it got cold, and it rained, and it snowed, and i'm a wimp. But I did experience, once, that runner's high that they talk about. I think I might have to do the "from couch to 5K in 6 weeks) thing - Runners' World magazine have e-mailed me a plan which I think starts tomorrow, but it could start today and I havene't done it.

I also have Jillian Michaels "The 30 day Shred" - I managed about a week.

I used to walk all the time, but I did the Moonwalk a couple of years ago and "having" to walk for the training put me off and I haven't walked a huge amount since.

When I was pregnant with my eldest I put on 4 stone, and the day I gave birth I was 13.4 So I do know what it's like to be smaller, but always thought I was overweight, which according the the recommendations in those days I was. The ideal weight range for somebody my height used to be about 7.4 to 8.8.

I have various health issues - the medication I take for epilepsy is known to make it more difficult to lose weight, and the on/off depression (but constant medication) means I just can't be @rsed to try very hard.

I did lose nearly 2 stone about 18 months ago becuase I had to go and have a gynae procedure done, but have put it all back on.

My "friend" paid for me to go back to SW last year, but tonight, or next week, is the last of the Countdown plan. I have decided, that for thrift purposes, I will go tonight, collect my pre-ordered little cookery book, weigh in - obviously coming back here to report the damage which I'm estimating at between 15.8 and 16 (15.8 is the highest I have ever been and for a 5'2" individual is at least 6 stone overweight), but will then save the £5 weekly fee in a pot.

I did consider continuing to go, and then I would have a potential audience for my cards but I have resolved to be sensible - after all this year is supposed to be about being frugal (I am failing dismally so far and we are only on 3rd Jan.

So here's to 2011 - planning my healthy meals, shopping wisely, saving lots, being money neutral, and being made redundant !!!!!

    Hi girls

I while back I came across a site where you pay something to join then if you lose weight you get paid a sum of money. Unless I imagined it, it was over a hundred pounds.

I wondered if any of you tried doing that in the past?

  • Think I'm going to put £4 into a pot, when I weigh-in, to treat myself to new clothes when I have lost my weight. If this way doesn't work I can use the £4 to pay slimming world
