Johanne - someone else who likes to work out the figures. One campaign I tried to keep track of my hours but didn't manage it. I'm always trying to find ways to make my Avoning as streamlined as possible, without turning the bits where I'm dealing with customers into a mad dash of course. I've always found it a little frustrating to always be dealing with the husband/son/daughter instead of the actual customer - it means if I've got a demo I can't offer it, plus with every visit you get established as "their rep" so poaching becomes less of an issue.
Looking at my average orders from territory: C8 £11.17, C9 £12.28. I haven't put in C10's figures yet. They might be a bit inflated because I covered my new streets and some might have placed larger orders because of their Avon drought. A couple of campaigns ago I noticed many more sub £10 and even sub £5 orders, but not so many this time.
I don't think so, no - referring back to men who say this on behalf of their wives - most I'm sure out of not wanting to get it wrong rather than being domineering. I got caught out the other day because the man said, "No it's just me...." pause long enough for me to start putting a cross through their house number and say, "Okay, sorry to have bothered you." Then he adds, "...and my wife". I guess that because of my age (25 - look younger) he thought Avon was for the young 'uns.
Creative returns - I'm about to do the same because they sent an alternative shade of lipgloss. It was backordered for £3. I know how to send it back but not how to send out the right shade for £3. It's back up to £6, but down to £3 again in C11. So the £6 was ordered, the customer will pay £3 for it, I'll order the C11 priced one and send it back pretending it's the £6 one.
I also do creative returning because I've always done credits using the search box rather than going straight to the relevant invoice. Sometimes I've sold the same product at a few different prices.
Herve Leger Ete moneymaker - ordered the minimum of 3 and have sold 2! :j Both to people who got a spray at the door. I got a much better reception to that (before orders came in) than to the Reese Witherspoon ones. I think I'll keep ordering a few MMs each time since there's no risk. And I didn't do a cheaper-than-brochure price offer either.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Thanks - that does make sense! It's the Diamond Dazzle eyeliner - not sure how to check what price it is in the future. I've managed to put all my C10 brochures through doors and not kept one!!
The upcoming brochures are available as links on the first page of this thread. I save them to a bookmarks folder in my browser - handy for planning ahead when I want to buy stuff for myself at the cheapest price.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. SL'ship has its ups and downs but I agree, without any upline support is nigh on impossible.
'they' are the 2 ASM's from surrounding areas who I got in touch with when I had questions about territory and couldnt work it out.

I'm seriously thinking about starting up with AVON, as i love the products and so does my mum so I already got one loyal customer lol. However i once started avon when I was living in london and didnt get on with it as I didnt know anyone. So didnt really do it and was young and embarressed so ignored all my managers calls
I know now that it would be perfect fitting around my full time job and i got a huge network now I have moved home so think I can earn a good income. I was just wondering if they wont let me join becuase of my past. As I havent had a call or email about my online application.I hope this is not the case as I think I will be really good at it

Thanks for the tips about the OOS & returns everyone.
I think I can see how you can work Avon's pricing system to your advantage nowJust need to get very familiar with the catalogues.
I hadn't seen the clearance books before, SL didn't give me any with my C8 books. I guess these will get sent automatically when you order the relevant catalogues.
Busy day today - picking up catalogues & order arriving & half term, so 3 little helpers???
Enjoy the sunshine everyoneNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -

Hi,
Sounds like you should at least give it a go. Am in Devon but one of my team members is in Windsor, which is obviously closer to you. They're thinking about going into Sales Leadership.
If you like you can apply via my own Personal Recruiting Page (not sure if I'm allowed to put the link on here so will PM you) and that will come through as a Lead to me complete with some basic information as to how positively Avon would view your application. We can then follow up the Lead or not - as you wish.
Hope that helps.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

As far as I remember there wasn't a customer clearance book with C8; there's one with C9 and C11. Unless you're talking about HT clearance, in which case that's always at the back.
Good luck collecting your books today; hope you get tons of orders.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Think I meant the sale booklet - saw it on the first page of this thread. Still trying to get used to all the terminology & different places for things! Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Our 2nd Campaign order arrived Friday £200 in customer sales, along with additional £35 of extra's I bought to get sold at the car boot we were doing on Sunday.
Car boot rained off on Sunday and Monday morning did a garden sale (Leaflet dropped the 75 houses on my street) on Monday afternoon sold most of the extra's and half a dozen people went away with a brochure and our contact details!
All in all not a bad start to our Avon career, currently canvassing the 255 houses we have been assigned been knocking on doors within those and currently have given 71 brochures to people and still have about 30 houses to knock on.
Lets see what Sunday brings when we go and collect all those brochures!Joined Avon : 13/04/2011 C8 £168.98 C9 £270.99 C10 £237.65 C11 £227.27 C12 £299.97 C13 £298.50 C14 £308.14 C15 £347 C16 349.09 so Far0 -
Well done, chalkswindon. See you've got the hang of it very quickly. All about timing!
