How many times do you deliver an order before giving up?
Went to deliver an order on sat morning and the woman said she didn't have the money from her daughter yet and could I come back monday. On monday she said she could only pay for a few items as her pay had not gone through yet and could I come the next day. So I go back tuesday and no answer. Back wednesday and her husband answered and said he had no money and if I came back tomorrow then he would have the money. I go back today and guess what no answer!?!!!?
What do I do?
She has also placed another order in the book I gave her so I can't really ignore her.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Give them a card saying you need to deliver this order before you can place their next order, otherwise you'll have to return it. Being firm with people can pay off - otherwise they'll keep giving you the run around. Maybe say they can collect from your house if that would be easier for them - saves you having to go after them again and might make them think before messing you about again.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Thanks Lozza, will do that if I don't get an answer tomorrow.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
oh god, they're shorting on far away? I really hope I get this, one of my customers is already missing things from her last order and i dont want her to be missing stuff from this order too! Being on mailplan O sucks
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -
OOoo I'm ready to kill the neighbouring asm - got a newish rep in her area who keeps having territory problems.
Now, mil has decided to quit, but one of her customers was wanting to join - made sense to give her customer her streets, along with a customer list of who would be expecting a brochure, but stressed to recanvass as well (MIL hasn't done in about a year!). All good, emailed asm to ask her to swop streets onto new reps account - get a snotty reply of thats far too many houses for a new rep, and why did mil have so many streets in the first place. (err cos the old manager gave her them love!)
Now, I'm not being funny - but 235 houses - it's not that many!!!!! She's talking like mil had a thousand houses to cover, not just 235!!!!
Have emailed her saying new rep is covering those houses, so sodding well give her them. In more polite terms of course lol! And have pointed out that most reps have at least 200 houses in their territory, any less and they can't get enough orders to make it worthwhile. And that me putting rep into this campaign (order due tuesday) with extra books will help asms figures. Wouldn't usually put a rep into a campaign with so few days left, but as she has a list of people wanting a brochure and I had lots of spare books to recanvass, she wanted to order this time so she earns that bit sooner. Wish all asms were more like mine - willing to help reps & sls, as she knows it's better for her - it helps her hit her targets without having to do all the work herself, if the reps have more streets they earn more so they're happy, and us sl are happy as are reps are happy and stay for longer. Hopefully this other asm will either see sense, or leave - that area is now on its third asm in 2 years!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
On the plus side, the bit where you click on the magnifying glass to get the product description is a lot quicker on the new website. The old website kept crashing at that stage.
But my bloomin' returns form took an absolute age to write out by hand. And not liking the fact that you have to hunt for the internet only offers. Oh, and the HT is too small to read, so thanks to Lozza for posting the links on the front page of this thread!
i agree. the part where you view HT has changed for the worse. i liked it before where you just clicked the trolley and it added to your order. oh well. i will get on the blower to customer services and get a refund for delivery. thank you guys.xxDFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800

Hi
I think I mentioned that I have signed up to be a SL. I don't seem to be having much luck at the moment. I have had two leads one from word of mouth and one from a newspaper add. Unfortunately both seemed to have changed their minds now. I thought about putting an advert in Sainsbury’s on their board. Any ideas on what I could write to encourage people? Any ideas would be much appreciated!M May11 55886.810 -
Hi just looking for some views on this situation. I have been doing Avon for some time and I have started a new buisness. Along side it I wanted to make up some gift sets to sell online and thought I would include some Avon products in them. I emailed Avon to ask if I was able to do so and got this reply:
Dear Miss Hickey
Thank you for your recent email.
We would prefer our Represntatives to sell through our traditional selling channels e.g. door to door or to family and friends.! However, due to the self-employed status of a Representative, we are unable to direct you as to how to conduct their business.
We appreciate that the activities of these Representatives may be upsetting to other Representatives in their locality, but legally we cannot prevent them selling this way.!
We apologise for not being able to assist you further in this matter.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Regards
Avon!Sales Service Centre
so do we think that means I can or I can't

Once you've paid for the products they're yours to do with as you wish. We just have to be careful about not including both businesses on the same business card etc, otherwise people can think that Avon supports x business, and vice versa.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
