Hi, I'm sure this is probably a self-evident question, but here goes!

If someone orders the Antler Bag for £10 plus the qualifying products, but then returns some or all of the make up, would they have to pay the usual price of £30 for the bag?
A customer wants the bag and wants to try some of the make up for the first time and is asking if she returns any products within the 90 days will she be charged full price for the bag.

    Thanks, Ness.

See your query's already been answered, Ness, but don't worry. Encourage your customers to order/try whatever they like. Avon's systems (so far!) don't seem able to connect the offer prices to returned products.

    Hi guys,

I'm just back from the most amazing holiday and trying to get back into my Avon big style now...since I got engaged when we were away!

Unfortunately I'm losing one of my customers 'cause she's changing job but I have got one back that signed up to be a rep and then changed her mind...so she's back buying from me now!

    Belated congrats , Claree.

As for your rep, who's changed her mind..... totally up to you how you work your team but if the additional rep order would help re. your team's orders then it's worth encouraging her to be a 'Personal Rep' to keep her a/c open. Repost/PM me if you'd like further details - this was covered a while ago and appreciate the parameters change from C10 now but still.....

Hi everyone hope you are all well, been away because my laptop has been broken but back on board now.
A quick question regarding the £10 off Anew vouchers, one of my customers ordered two of the starter packs last camp, thus two £10 vouchers. She has ordered a full size Anew kit, she has asked whether she can use both vouchers towards the one produt therefore getting £20 off. On the back of the voucher it suggests you can use more than one but I thought I would ask on here first.
    Thanks!

    Hi MrsG,

Could be wrong but the books quote the offer price so my guess is that even if you input extra vouchers they'd still only deduct one so you'd lose your extra voucher(s).

Have been away..... do these vouchers have to be used by C10 or do we have another few camps yet?

  • Hello,

my wife has just become an Avon rep, she had a very good first campaign (#9) and is currently expanding her territory for the current campaign to try and rope in more customers. She's been doing a 'Free gift for orders over £20' which has worked pretty well so far, so all good in that respect.

We were at a big car boot sale today (Mainly selling various bits and bobs) and while having a wander we didn't see one stall that focused on selling beauty products - You'd have thought that they would have been quite popular at these kind of places!

Her idea was to buy a range of products that are on special offer upto the 25% commission boundary (so she'll get commission from it), then sell the goods at car boot sales.

Does anyone have any experience with this at all? From what I saw today, people weren't too keen to have a haggle. They either accepted the prices and paid or shrugged their shoulders and walked off. The fact that nobody else was doing the same implies that not many people have thought of it, or it just doesn't work as a financial prospect!

Any ideas or advice would be gratefully received!

    Regards

    Mark and Sharon

Well done you, Mark, for supporting your lady so. You'd be surprised how many Avon ladies have to work around rather than with the man in their life!

A few pages back on this thread there's a copy of an email from Avon, which seems to confirm that whilst we agreed to abide by certain terms and conditions when we applied to be reps, they actually have very little control over how reps market Avon goods. This may be a very fine line i.e. once we've paid for the goods..... who knows? I gather some reps sell on E-Bay/car boot sales and certainly it's very common to have a 'Bargain Box' at Avon parties. As all reps get at least 13 days credit on goods and there is the 90 day no-quibble guarantee that certainly gives us a lot of scope. (It's all about timing ;) )

It's surprising how many products there are though. Sure others will suggest their best sellers but for my 2p-worth I'd maybe stick to:

    * Skin-so-Soft products - especially Soft & Fresh (print off the flyer for all its uses inc. anti-mozzie/midge/flea properties)
    * Any £1 deals i.e. liquid soaps, shower gels, bubble baths, body sprays, room/linen sprays, hand/body creams/lotions

    Good luck.

Carboots - there are reps out there who do these regularly. There's a rep on Connects who does one even though there are other stalls at the same place selling Avon. She sells at brochure price or higher. She said it takes time to get established (in her case I think because of the other stalls) and work out what's popular in your area.

I did a yard sale outside my house and even though hardly anyone showed up I sold 2 bottles of Skin so Soft Soft and Fresh dry oil spray (the insect repelling one). It's a product people know.

I planned what I was going to buy a couple of campaigns in advance and checked each product to see when I could buy it cheapest. I bought my stock during C7 and C8, so I had brochure 6, 7 and 8 to compare to see when things were cheapest. Then all the unsold stuff went back.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
