Evening everyone. Happy New Year.
Could anyone help with a tax question please?
I am registered as self employed (I work part time as well) and know about keeping receipts etc but what about the orders that I do for myself? Say I order some makeup from a standard brochure, well I am getting a discount but not making profit on the sale am I? So how does the tax office see this? Do they see me getting the discount as being a tax benefit so I still have to pay tax on it? or do I remove my own orders from my profits?
I hope this makes sense.

I've emailed them again, I really don't want to ring them as I seem to have worse luck with who answers the phone sometimes!

As for SL, she vanished off the face of the earth about a month after signing me up.

Random question. Does anyone have a sunrise alarm clock going spare? One of my customers emailed me saying she loved the clock but it didn't come with a lead! Have had the usual pointless responses from Avon. They won't even give a small discount to her!!! Don't really want to disappoint her as she is a great customer. Thanks in advance. X

PinkMummy - You're not going to like the answer but it really really depends! Both on how much time and effort you are willing to put in, and on if you are restricted to friends and family or can get out and about to territory...
You can make as much as you like, but it will directly depend on what you invest in it time and effortwise...

grrr avon really so annoy me!! friends with my SL on facebook- she's a lovely lady and sent an email to all the reps saying that order goes in tonight if we have any orders or if we dont to email her saying so! so did then just checked my emails and found that my ASM has sent me an email saying my order is overdue! thought my SL would of told my ASM that wasnt placing an order!!

have now decided that im going to carry on with avon but just order for myself and if my friends and family want to order they still can, getting really fed up with all the hassle now! and ive now got a new job and working 55 hours plus a week so have no time to do anything!!

Could be that your sl told the asm, but the asm forgot when she was sending out her emails.

I know the old version was battery powered, didn't sell any of the new versions, but I'd assume they're battery powered too which could be why theres no lead?
