hang in there, it might be that they don't order this time due to be messed about by previous rep(s) - once they see that you deliver the next brochure and the next then they'll trust you and order
Did you pop a note through the doors where you didn't get the brochure back? Sometimes people just forget what day it is - a little note saying you'll call back for the brochure tomorrow, please leave it outside so you don't need to disturb them, works wonders. Then if you still don't get the book back, I pop another note through saying please contact me by x date if you would like to order from this brochure, and all my contact details. Shows people that you aren't some fly by night rep, that you take things seriously.
Thank you for the advice lozza. I didn't put a note through no, but I will get on it and make some.
I have included a slip with collection day, please leave out, would you like another or not type and I also printed off some Avon ring sizers as C5 has a Jewellery offer on with free gift.
I went back round tonight and retrieved 5 more books but no orders, reposted those I got in earlier though.

Got two more orders today both from new customers.... Was excited till I realised that one has ordered the digital scales which can't be ordered till next campaign ..... i think this is a really silly promotion. Grrrrrr. (sorry, just felt the need to share that lol!)
If not too late, you could maybe get the scales via HT i.e. as Demo? Yes, agree with you, not an easy loyalty scheme to follow; none of my customers has even bothered to query.... hardly surprising though when it comes around Christmas time - doh!! More and more often at the mo I find myself ordering goods in advance 'just in case' my customers want them e.g. camera (quoted to allow 6 weeks for delivery when my customer delivery date was the week before Christmas  )
Happy New Year everyone; hadn't realised we've got another new thread (missed most of the last one....)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

most of the books looked as though they hadn't even been looked at.
Happy Avoning xx
Sherry, I see you only signed up on the 5th. How long did you leave your books with your customers for?
Mind you, I can't talk. Had about a dozen brochures I should have put out earlier on this week but just couldn't get around to. Finally gave myself a big kick up the wotsits and finally delivered them today. My pick up day is monday so really left it a bit too late.
Also haven;t managed to get to my two shops so will put out the following campaigns brochures over the weekend.
Feel so demotivated at the moment. Have to keep reminding myself that if I don't do it then no one else will. Hope everyone else is better than me at the moPlease do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Getting more and more fustrated with the local "big" rep... she's got fingers in pies everywhere and is apparently a big earner... which is nice but means no matter what my protestations about her not recanvassing areas for years they are not likely to release ones she doesn't already canvass to others. Like busyrascal I've lived here over 5 years and never had a single Avon brochure through my letterbox - apparently she has a regular customer base and doesn't recanvass at all meaning that there is loads of people like me who wanted Avon but ended up ordering online instead of through a rep... I canvassed part of my road (about 35 houses and I have 5 customers (all people I know!) as a result! Imagine how many more are out there!!! *sigh*
Oh well
Empathise with your and busyrascal's plight. Had a similar experience last year and despite my asking the ASM time and time again for a certain street, she was adamant it was being covered by the local 'big rep' and as she was hitting/exceeding her targets then no way was the ASM going to remove territory from her. Finally got round it by 'doing a survey'.Not sure how much info I should put in open forum but if anyone's interested, PM me and I'll help as much as I can.

I was thinking of selling Avon as a way of having a job that I can work around my daughter, voluntary work & studying. I checked the reps for my postcode & it was saying there was 9 different ones already! I know one of them is my sister (who doesn't work this particular area), and another only does f&f (I think she also does my place of work) but I'm a bit put off because of the other 7! Would it be worth me applying for it or not in your honest opinions?
Go for it Nicki; you'll never know until you try!
I moved to a 'town' (village) of 3,000 houses with 25/30 reps but I managed Assoc. PC within 10 campaigns. All depends on how much effort you're prepared to put in and how amenable you are to helping your customers get a good deal. There's lots of great advice on these threads and you may even have a SL on here near you to sign you up. :T
Good luck whatever you decide.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Good luck PM; hope it's a good SL you get (as you may have read, if you apply online then sometimes you get 'tagged' to an Area Sales Manager - they tend to be very busy with lots of targets so don't have the time to help as much as an SL would).Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

chelseylou wrote: »grrr avon really so annoy me!! friends with my SL on facebook- she's a lovely lady and sent an email to all the reps saying that order goes in tonight if we have any orders or if we dont to email her saying so! so did then just checked my emails and found that my ASM has sent me an email saying my order is overdue! thought my SL would of told my ASM that wasnt placing an order!!
have now decided that im going to carry on with avon but just order for myself and if my friends and family want to order they still can, getting really fed up with all the hassle now! and ive now got a new job and working 55 hours plus a week so have no time to do anything!!
ASM's, for some reason, have been piling on the pressure recently re. submitting orders. (I've even had problems sorting out problems for some reps on my team, where Manager Internet orders have been placed without their knowledge! One rep actually resigned 3 months previously!!)
Whenever anyone on my team gets fed up with Avon I suggest they just stick to ordering from HT and/or even just order a calling book/order forms (free), which will keep their account active. They'll be sent a customer brochure (and charged 55p for it - but it can be returned for credit if they wish). That way you can keep track of the new products, the bargains and of course gives you access to Clearance.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

so going to spend the next week putting together a new reps pack before canvassing for new recruits
Happy New Year to you too, SG, and good luck; 'feast or famine' comes to mind. Took me ages to qualify but my SL took pity on me and finally got me there. Hope you've got a good upliner to support you in the field. (My first time 'swooping' in Exeter we got moved on by security! Ooops...)

Have had the usual pointless responses from Avon. They won't even give a small discount to her!!! Don't really want to disappoint her as she is a great customer. Thanks in advance. X
Is that the same one in HT5 (C3) p45 item no. 65888 @ £12 nett?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

guess why ASMs have been piling on pressure re orders? ........
bonus time!
I emailed Avon about someone placing small orders on my account, and got the reply that no small order had been placed on my account.... even though I had clearly seen it! then got email from new ASM saying to let her know if not placing order, etc, etc.
I quite like reading the bull she gives me, as I know more than her about what I need to order to keep my account active!
Can't be bothered with it all, so now am deleting e-mails and texts from ASM and not bothering to reply. Waste of my time. I know what I am doing, and I know she is trying to qualify for her bonus, hence pressure, pressure...0
