    Hello everyone,

I am really considering joining avon.. I would just like to know what the average is that you get a month?? Thank you so much for your help x

As said by others - it completely depends on how much you sell, and theres no average figure for that, some people just do f&f and sell loads, others have f&f & a territory and still don't sell much - it just completely depends. It does take time though to build up a big customer base, so over time you'll get more customers/people spending more as they try new ranges.

    Evening everyone. Happy New Year.
Could anyone help with a tax question please?
I am registered as self employed (I work part time as well) and know about keeping receipts etc but what about the orders that I do for myself? Say I order some makeup from a standard brochure, well I am getting a discount but not making profit on the sale am I? So how does the tax office see this? Do they see me getting the discount as being a tax benefit so I still have to pay tax on it? or do I remove my own orders from my profits?
    I hope this makes sense.
    Thanks
    Karen
    x

I just exclude anything I buy for myself from my invoice so that I don't use it when completing my tax return.

    Spotted this on the messages:
Avon have reduced the price of two of the sample packs on sale in Hello Tomorrow 5 (for ordering in Campaign 3). The 5 sample card packs have been reduced from £1.25 to £1.00 and the 10 sample card packs have been reduced from £2.00 to £1.75. A message will be issued on the Representative invoice and placed on the My Messages section of the website.

I'm not qualified obviously in tax matters lol, but thats what I do cos it makes the most sense - we can't help that we get a discount on what we buy and we certainly don't earn from it (thats where most of our earnings go buying avon stuff for ourselves lol) so don't see how we can be taxed on it.

    Hello all.
I've just been out to collect my first batch of books, C5's, 16 back from 40, 1 order of £19, 1 call back and 1 next time, so fingers crossed.
I shall prep books to post to others and try those that weren't in again, one of which was a lady I convinced to look at a book as she said she doesn't wear make up (really hope she looks).
That 1 order is such a boost because I really didn't think I would get any, most of the books looked as though they hadn't even been looked at.
    Happy Avoning xx

hang in there, it might be that they don't order this time due to be messed about by previous rep(s) - once they see that you deliver the next brochure and the next then they'll trust you and order :)

Did you pop a note through the doors where you didn't get the brochure back? Sometimes people just forget what day it is - a little note saying you'll call back for the brochure tomorrow, please leave it outside so you don't need to disturb them, works wonders. Then if you still don't get the book back, I pop another note through saying please contact me by x date if you would like to order from this brochure, and all my contact details. Shows people that you aren't some fly by night rep, that you take things seriously.

    Hello
Just found this thread, im afraid im another read but not post, but hopefully this year will change
Ive been doing the Avon for just over a year now, area that ive got ive only got 3 customers, but just waiting on another territory to come through, ive got 20 customers so far and they have all come from my local shop and word of mouth
my orders are coming in at £50 at moment but just before christmas i was getting £300 plus orders. First few campaigns were slow but that was because they said someone was coming round with the books but never stayed, so they are now used to me and im doing very well

Lookingforward to more canvessing and more customers this year.. :)
